I have yet to go to one and won't be making plans on starting any time soon. At most there will be 5 bands I actually really want to see, and going to warped tour to see them just ain't happening.

PunkRockElite Is anyone here going to warped tour this year? the line up wasnt as good as last though, but pretty close Last year, when I went, there were only four bands that were really worth seeing. Anti-Flag Lars and the Bastards The Casualties Tiger Army That's just my opinion. However, this year I am going to see the Unseen, the Horror Pops, and Dropkick Murphys.

maybe I'm just spoiled on free/donation and $5 shows, but why in the world would people be willing to pay so much just to see 3-5 bands? that's ******** crazy.

I like how your username is PunkRockElite, and you talk about kicking posers asses, yet you want to go to one of the biggest corporate "punk rock" fests ever.
Motorola and Sprite have so much to do with teh punxorz!

You pay so much so you can actually meet mainstream bands and think you're cool. yeah, and that's bullshit. I payed $5 to see Defiance, Ohio and hung out with afterwards and if they didn't have a show the next day they probably would've hung out with us all night, and gone to the beach. It's the same for any band I go see. This heroification of bands and the exorbitant amounts people pay is just ridiculous.

Yeah, the cheapest show I've been to was maybe $7 and I hung out with the band and they actually knew my name and were interested in me. However, at Warped Tour, most of those bands treat their signings like an assembly line.

I saw AAA play last night for free since I was tabling for a political group(Miami Infoshop), I talked for a while with the lead singer for Stop this Fall(awesome guy) and when I tried to pay him for a cd he wouldn't let me. Then before AAA went on they let me and another of the members of the infoshop group get up on stage and speak to the crowd. That was an awesome show too.
