& It's true. I don't believe there's a better album than Showbiz in Muse's discography. I know most of the time it's Origin or Absolution but I can't like them as much as the first. I just love it. <3

I think Showbiz was definitely a very worthy first album, but I'm one of those people who're wild about oos. That was the album that made me like Muse, so maybe it's just a sentimental issue. smile
|

Well OoS is still my favorite, and what got me into Muse was Absolution.

I can't really say which is a favourite. Showbiz was of course; amazing, it made Muse who they are. But since then they've taken on so many different styles; it's hard to pick out a favourite album. They're all just so breathtaking...I mean O.O.S was the album I first heard; and Absolution really started off my obcession; but I can't say that they're better or worse than BH&R, or Showbiz; or even the B-sides from Hulaballoo. They're all wonderful.

My favorite is still OoS, but Showbiz was the first Muse album that I bought/listened to so it will always have a special place in my heart. Also, I adore it because it has more piano than the following albums...I think?

Until their new album I have found this too! Showbiz hasn't got one song on it that I would flick past whereas their other albums have. I mean don't get me wrong I do love all of thier albums to pieces, but Showbiz really tops them! Oh, apart from Black Holes and Revelations, i'm fixed on that atm... soon go back to Showbiz though!

No way. Absolution has the best tracks of all time on it:
Apocalypse please
Time is running out
Stockholme syndrome
Hysteria
Butterflies and hurricanes
The small print
And they're all the best live songs they play. Nothing comes close, except maybe Dead Star or Hypermusic.

No way. Absolution has the best tracks of all time on it:
Apocalypse please
Time is running out
Stockholme syndrome

And they're all the best live songs they play. Nothing comes close, except maybe Dead Star or Hypermusic.the only good thing about butterflies and hurricanes is the piano really, and apocolypse please bores me. I agree about the others though, but still, their other albums have many more great songs, and this one has too many songs i don't like or bore me
