The main purpose of this thread is for user feedback regarding the forum (ie: threads that should be stickied) and contributions such as helpful links, banners for guild promotion and so forth. Basically, what can we do to make this guild a better, more enjoyable forum?

Really good idea. I have two things to debate.
1. Should we have topics for whole countries/genres ("Japanese Movies", "Foreign Horror") or should we instead make topics for individual movies? Having both seems kind of redundant to me.
2. Kill Bill. It is not foreign, but it is a very obvious study of Tarantino's foreign influences. Should it be included in the "remakes" thread? Is it allowed in this forum at all?

We could probably do both. Japanese Movies thread could be more general, like talking about the next Miike film in the works. I think it's allowed due to the foreign influence. I think we should be lenient on some movies, such as films like Rush Hour. I mean, similar to a problem we had on the foreign films thread, not everyone is from the US. I'm not too keen on a whole thread dedicated to Rush Hour, but I wouldn't mind a thread dedicated to Jackie Chan. You have mod abilities, too, so you can be a judge on whether or not a film is appropriate. If anything, we can start a thread to just discuss movies, regardless of their genre or language.

I'm thinking about general threads to add. I need opinions:
Foreign Films Discussion - Just talk about foreign films in general. News, film festivals, etc.
General Cinema/TV Discussion - Non foreign films and TV chatter can go here. Just because we don't always watch foreign films. Maybe we have a deep opinion on that new Will Smith movie?
For the following, should we break up threads based on language or origin?
Japanese Cinema Discussion
Chinese Cinema Discussion
Korean ...
French ...
Russian ...
German ...
Italian ....
Of course, we will eventually get individual threads for things like certain actors, directors, film festivals, movies but that can be handled on a case by case basis.

Sure, go for it. Althought I don't know about that Foreign Films Discussion thing - but I guess it could be a good start.
I really like the General Cinema/TV Discussion idea. I think it's definately needed.
