The Gamecube version of RE4 got the game of the year award from G4 as you should know. Comparing the 2 games which one do you think should get it?

Gamecube. While I haven't played the PS2 version, I know for a fact that it has significantly longer load times, is significantly easier (less enemies, stronger weapons), and has worse graphics (Which doesn't matter that much, but anyway...).
The thing that really gets me is making the game easier. I personally thought it was too easy to begin with ;>.>

THe gamecube had better graphics, but th e PS2 had more features.

the ps2 version is better than the gamecube i know 1:i own both 2:it is also voted by most game testers in the USA

PS2 because you can do a new side mission, wear a new costume and you can make it wide screen and pregessive scan (if you have a HDTV)

PS2..it has more stuff: ada's story, guns, outfits... biggrin

you get orporating ada and mercenaries on gamecube too.....and two differern t oufits..mafia and R.C.P.D..the English one is also harder...becasue my friends has the maercian one and ive played it adn it is easier...

I have it for GC, but Id rather it for PS2, just cause of the Ada Wong missions are better, and you can get the pulse gun thing : D

The-Doom23 pulse gun? confused [/quote an amazing gun in the ps2 game. i owend it for both then some moron stoll the ps2 one out of my school locker scream i like the gamecube version the best because it was harder.

Well, I can't really say. They both have superiority over the other in some areas.
GC:
-Better graphics
-Faster loading times
-Better sound
-Tighter controls
PS2:
-Separate Ways
-Bowgun
-P.R.L. 412
-New outfits for Leon and Ashley (which makes her invincible! biggrin )
As you can see, the Gamecube excels in the Audio/Visual and control department, while the PS2 claims the content castle. ;D Like I said, I can't really choose. I own both as well. biggrin

I say PS2 because of all the extra content and the graphics aren't as good as the GC version but still very good
