What about indie films? Those are good. Anyone seen any worth mentioning?

Clerks started off as being indie and that's one of my favorite movies. Graden State could be considered indie. GS is misleading, it looks like a chick flick but the movie itself isn't all that romantic.

I really liked Elephant. A lot of people won't stop hating on it, though, because they say it's really boring and most of it is pointless. I beg to differ because a lot of the scenes are actually mind-stimulating. They kept me guessing a lot... because even though we all know what's going to happen, we don't know when. And it was a really realistic film, and gave enough insight into the main characters' lives to try to understand where they were coming from.

The thing that I loved about Elephant was that they focused in on the different social classes. Those girls, the artistic kids, and then the two boys. I agree, it was an amazing movie. After seeing it, I bent a fork into a bracelette. *laughs* 'Cause I'm just that cool.

It was filmed in town and I knew people in the movie. I loved the film, but you're right. A lot of people hate on it. Come to think of it, not a lot of people like Gus Van Sant films. What a sad, sad place we live in.
