Well, I decided to take the Legacy challenge, but I really like the starter sim... her full name is Moneyluvin Gangstarappa, and she lives in da ghetto. xD (Actually, since I only had $4,800 left like I was supposed to, she has no walls for her house o.O)
I made her look as much like a video ho as I could and moved her into a house that consists of a double bed (she has the romance aspiration, and she has to get married eventually) a couch, a coffee table, a fridge, stove, sink, extra counter space, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher & trash compactor, as well as a toilet & shower (the toilet has a 2-space wall behind it, that's the only wall in the 'house')
She got a job as a security guard and made 3 male friends and 1 female friend: Marisa, Benjamin, Orlando (she likes him best at the moment) and Joe.
The next day, as soon as she gets payed, I'm buying her a few walls and maybe a door! ^^;
I'll track her progress here.

i've got two legacy challenges going right now. my first one was really easy when it came to finances, for some reason, and they got a good home pretty quick. before i even married her off she had a small house. on a foundation, even! eek the 3rd generation sim just got married, and the house is looking fantastic. biggrin
with my other legacy family, though, it's total poverty, lol. they just had a lawn baby. the only walls they have are to enclose a toilet and shower. sweatdrop
can't wait to hear more from you. hopefully they'll get a walled-in home soon. xd unlike mine.

Okay, Monyeluvin update! 8D
She's made best friends with Orlando and Joe, and soon Joe will move in with her. I gave her house flooring to help me plan where the wall will be- I hate foundations so I'm not going to give her one. :] (HOW DOES THE DOOR CONNECT TO THE GROUND?! gonk ) It's nice flooring, too.
I added a square of wall in the kitchen for a fire alarm. x.x;
She was doing pretty well and wanted to have a party, so I made her have one. It was my first party, too, and I didn't understand how to make her serve the food on the party buffet table thing... the party was a bust. She ended up serving Joe and Orlando some mac & cheese for lac of buffet-usage.
When her friends left, I had her clean up the dishes Joe and Orlando left on the floor. As soon as she finished loading the dishwasher, it started sparking, so I told her to repair it. She failed miserably and got electricuted. I was really scared she'd die, but she survived. :3
She was all burnt, kinda sad and hungry and tired so I fed her and sent her off to bed for the night. When she changed into her PJs the burns went away O.o;
So now, it's the next day. I'm slowly getting her house a little better. I'm gonna add some flooring for a dining room and hopefully an extra room for future kiddies.
Eventually her house will evolve from what my dad and I call a 'glorified patio' to a real live house with walls and hopefully a roof over her head.
But strangely, after all the complaining sims tend to do, they don't care if they look like hobos that colect crappy furniture. O.o;

It's official! Joe has moved into the Gangstarappa household, and brought with him 9,000 Simoleons.
