Gale trained under the very same Master as Stefan in the ways of the swords. They're sort of friendly rivals. While Stefan's style appears more composed and clean-cut, Gale's style is more like a playful, blood-thirsty demon's. The young lad himself is quite cheerful and outgoing, although has plenty of cunning as well. Even more noticable is his joy of killing.
Despite their clear differences, young Gale sees a common mentality with the brooding Soren.
