Everyone, I think you all saw this coming.

Well, with the loss of Fel, Gubbi, The_King, Suzu, Catsgame, geez, have I forgot any others? WEll, the guild's been left in my hand, and frankly, these hands ain't the most capable.

Let's all face it, the exchange is going downhill, and everyone is using G.C.G. Of course they are, everyone would use a guide that values their items highest. Who wants a guide that doesn't update constantly. Fact is, we can't compete with them, G.E.N. E.V.I.L and soon the R.I.P. Our price guide days are numbered.

HOWEVER, I will not stand by and let deity and all we stood for be squandered. We were the first truly honest guide, which posted tons of evidence links before changing a price. What we stood for then, is what we will stand for in the future.

So then, I (and hopefully all of you) am going to open the Seraphic Item Charity. (Hopefully someone can come up with a better name) Using our wonderful Seraphic Deity mule account to collect, sell, and donate to users who deserve it. Staffers, it will be alot less work and you'll feel great about it. We all know how bad items are going up and how tough it is to quest at this point for anything before feb 04. Fel has agreed to this, and I hope you all will as well. It's gonna take some time and effort but in the end everyone will be much less stressed, and we'll be making a difference in the lives of gaians, and we'll be making a good difference at that.

Mako, you are still free to work on the guide if you wish, but it will be closing if you decide to toss in the towel. Your hard work and dedication is much appreciated though.

Laslty, this will be a completely non profit charity, and no one will be expect to donate. Well, more to come. Hope everyone leaves some feedback so we can figure out if this is okay with everyone.

Mm, I have no problem with it. ^^ Sounds fun. I say, leave the prices and price guides to those willing to work to update them, because I think everyone in the SIN is kind of, well, bummed out. For our own different reasons.

For clarification, will the SIN Charity be a thread in the Charity/Quests forum, or would we reuse this Guild for that purpose? I don't know if we're going to let this Guild dry out and sell it, reuse it, or whatever.

All good things have to come to an end in this world. A little retrospective, but it's my honest opinion that this guide has only been half-alive for months now. Living on the life support infrastructure of a small pool of supporters and a barrel of staffers that get nowhere no matter how much they put in. ..Corny analogy, hm.

Elehayym: Forgot to say, welcome to the 'guild.

Maybe we could keep the guild open for [yet another] private Exchange discussion forum? Just throwing ideas out there.

I like that idea gubbi, and Diamond, it's not really an end, but a beginning. Circle of life, you know. (another corny analogy.) Daimond, we all love SIN(Especially me and Fel, who were around when it was the Jolly price guide.) but to continue it the way it is is unfair to all of us. I hate seeing good friends of mine depressed and fighting a losing battle (Fel namely) And besides, this guild ain't going anywhere, and a charity can do nothing but make us all feel spiffy and help others jilted by a cruel exchange.

that's probably for the best, a charity would be a much more useful outlet for us I suppose
I wish I could stay and work on the guide (after that short, but emotion-driven monologue I gave not too long ago), but I just got hired for my first job and I've been working late nights most of the week and I have barely been on Gaia for almost a week now eek
I'm really sorry, but I can't work on the guide like I said... sad
Sorry everyone...

No worries there Mako biggrin . Believe me, I know what a work scedule, especially a hectic one can do to Gaia time. Well then, I guess desconstruction of the guide will start soon. That will porbably be the hardest thing I've ever had to do on Gaia. crying

However Mako, would you still like to be a part of the charity? I can assure you that it will be a lot less work and it will be on a "When I have time" basis.

You Know its kinda Ironic, that the SIN Price Guide would shut its doors a couple days after I departed EVIL Price Guide. In the beginning Sin opened its doors a few days before I Joined EVIL. It has been a long road has'nt it?? The SIN not being in motion will truely leave a void in the Exchange for many Gaians.
To All the Staffers that Worked with SIN over the past 14 months You guys did a great job!!!!!! SIN has managed to help many Gaians out during that time and truely has left its mark at Gaia.

@Gubbi: perhaps as a treat, this guild could be made private for all SIN members to come together, and chat. ^^

@FO: I liked you better when you were a girl.

@everyone- Seriously, i feel so horrible and regretful. After a few weeks I joined SIN, some major personal issues came up, and I cou;dn't find that much time to update and such. ^^;;

I'm always here. The SIN was the most accurate guid I'd ever seen. I think that a Seraphic Charity would be very successful.

I will forever be a supporter of SIN.
