Colorist standards-
Every colorist will be given a quota on how many Kirns must be sold each month. The quota includes any auction, raffle, or special event Kirns sold as well as the flatsales, but not any Kirn given away for free. Speaking of free Kirns, colorists may give away a maximum of three Kirns that they've colored to friends for no charge. This is not a 'per month' number, you may give away three total for as long as you're a colorist. Exceptions will be made for colorists who have been doing exceptional work or when the Kirn reciever in question has special circumstances (like they did a huge favor for the colorist, or something). Just ask me if you want an exception made, and I'll consider it.
It used to be required to have all stages of all flatsale Kirns colored before starting a new flatsale. This has been dropped.

Other than the requirements above, I'm pretty lenient with my colorists. Each colorist may set up their own threads specifically for discussing Kirns colored by them. They handle their own casual flatsales and auctions. They may also price their own Kirns, within some guidelines.
Flatsale Kirn Price Guidelines:
Origin Species--1-5k
Mountain Kirn--2-7k
Fairy Kirn--5-10k
Sea Kirn--3-10k
Tree Kirn--3-10k
Kirn Mutants--5-10k
I keep price guidelines to maintain the rarity of certain Kirn breeds. There is also a limit on Kirnguard sales.
Kirntaur Guardian--2-5k, and only FIVE KIRNGUARDS SOLD PER MONTH.
Too many Kirnguards without enough Kirns could potentially cause a crapload of chaos amongst Kirn flocks. Thus, we limit the amount available.
Colorists may also choose which stage their flatsaled Kirns start off in. The only stage you cannot sell is the 4th centaur stage. Those are all hand drawn, there is no way you can sell those at a whim. You may not promise a 4th stage Kirn to anybody either. They cost money.

Colorists also have some breeding guidelines. Each breed of Kirn has limits to how many offspring they can successfully produce:
Origin Species--1-6 babies
Mountain Kirn--3-5 babies
Fairy Kirn--1-3 babies
Sea Kirn--2-4 babies
Tree Kirn--1-3 babies
Kirn Mutants--1-6 babies
If you want to have a set price for your breedings, that's your deal. Conversely, if you want to charge for each individual baby produced, you may do that too. You may set your own prices here as well. Keep in mind that when a 4th stage Kirn breeds, its babies are normal baby Kirns, not little centaurs.

I hire colorists full time, part time, or as guests:

Full time-It is suggested that you set up a thread for yourself. You will also be contacted to do big sales, auctions and raffles.

Part time-You may set up your own thread if you feel it necessary, but you won't have a separate section of the main thread and probably won't have as much customer interaction. You will not be asked to do any auctions or raffles, but if you want to do one you can ask me. Your quota will be set on an 'every two months' basis, as opposed to monthly. Said quota will most likely be lower than those set for the full timers.

Guest-You will probably only do one flatsale or occasional auctions and raffles. There is no point in setting up a thread because you aren't officially an employee. You may come and go as you please. However, there may be times when guest spots are closed.

Procedures for casual sales-
-When you have a Kirntaur colored and priced, PM its image and price to me, then put it into your section of the main thread.
-When you have sold a Kirntaur, use these certs:
Kirn Tag
Kirnguard Tag (I just realized that 'Guards' is spelled wrong on the tag. xd I'm keeping it, it's campy. If you have the desire and knowhow to change it, feel free.)
You may use any font you like to fill in information, as long as it is legible. For the generation marker, a Kirn's gen is determined by the gen of its parents. Kirns not resulting from breeding are always 1st gen. After that, their offspring will be 2nd gen, 3rd gen, etc. So if two parentless (1st gen) Kirns have babies, the babies will be 2nd gen. When the 2nd gen babies grow up, their offspring will be 3rd gen, and so on. The baby's generation is one higher than the generation of the highest gen parent. So if you had, say, a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen breeding together, their baby would be 4th gen.
If you can't cert the Kirns yourself (I'm pretty sure OpenCanvas doesn't do text), you may ask a friend to do that for you. If they want gold for doing your certings, that comes from your own pocket.
-Send the certed Kirn to Tsumirei, our gracious image host, and she will upload it to her server. She'll send the url to you.
-PM me the url and any information about the sale that would be important but is not on the cert. I'll put it onto the owner's list.
-When it's time for a Kirn to grow (there's a minimum of two weeks between growings), send the grown Kirn to Tsumirei and she'll update it. You may want to post the URL in the main thread so people can see it.
-Send 25% of all money gained from Kirns to the account Labtech311. The remaining 75% is yours to keep, since you did the coloring, and what goes to Lab-chan gets split up between the manager, owner, uploader, and other employees.

Procedures for big sales-
-I'll call on you if I'm planning a big sale. You don't have to participate in them, but if you decide to, reply. Try to have at least 2-3 Kirns colored for the sale.
-PM the Kirn images and prices to me, and I'll set them up on the big sale thread.
-When the Kirns sell you do the certs and have them uploaded as usual.
-Trades will still be going to you, so you'll still have to send the 25% to Labtech311.

FAQ

Q: Can colorists do customs?
A: Yes. They may set all their own prices for customs as long as they meet the minimum limit for the normal Kirn prices. They control all their own slots and everything.

Q: What about pet trades?
A: Yes, you may offer them pet trades, but they need to consult me about offers before going through with it.

Q: Are they allowed to do lineart edits?
A: All lineart edits have to be approved by me first. I'm going to be pretty lenient about it, but I don't want any special rare wingless Fairy Kirns running around without me knowing, or fancy cosplays being made by two different colorists at the same time, or things like that.

Hiring information:
I am not looking for any specific 'look' for colored Kirns. You can use any style of shading; the only thing I outright reject is sloppiness. If you want to be a colorist, just send me an application:

Guest Colorist Wishlist'
There are a few people out there who I've seen in the Breedables forum from time to time, whom I would LOVE to have guest color. These are just fantasies, of course. Anybody can apply to be a colorist, and I will consider every application equally.

Damia Grynn
Koyuki Sanata
Gorachii
Winterfalcon
Dustfeather
Anybody who colors for Aiko

...I can't remember them all right now. So this is a constanly growing list.
