As for me I got into Fire Emblem by just buying Fire Emblem 7. I was at a Wal Mart with a 50bucks and bought it for fun.

I skipped playing Fire Emblem, because I got Golden Sun, which released around the same date. I bought it used at a Gamestop because I was getting bored and though, "what the hell?"

I bought my first copy [FE7] randomly out of three games. I wanted all of them, but only had enough money for one. Fire Emblem attracted me because of its amazing box art and interesting back-of-the-box synopsis. The screens looked nice, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was the first GBA game I'd gotten since Medabots: Metabee and Medabots: Rokusho, and I was eager for some more strategy gaming. When I bought FE7, I put the three games on the floor in the store, sat down in front of them, shook my head a lot, closed my eyes, and pointed at one. When I opened my eyes, I'd landed on FE7, so I shelled out my hard-earned dollars and bought it.
I've been hooked ever since. I even go to FEPA meetings. FEPA = Fire Emblem Players Anonymous. ... ... xD But not really.

Funny, the reason I was so pressed about Fire Emblem coming out on gameboy was 'cause of seeing Roy and Marth in Super Smash Brothers. I would always use Roy in that game and when I found out they were coming out with a Fire Emblem game in America, I decided to read up on it. I've played Advance Wars so when I recognized the fighting style and saw some of the artwork, I got really excited about the game. It was coming out the day before I was leaving for France on vacation and it would be perfect to have a new handheld game for the trip, but alas.. The Best Buy near me sucks with getting games on their release date and I couldn't find it anywhere else nearby and I couldn't drive at the time. I got it when I came back though and then fell in love.. hahah. wink

My little sister bought FE7 at the local Game when I went on a school trip a year and a half ago. I stole it off her whilst she was sleeping and was hooked. (She thought it was going to be like Golden Sun: The Lost Ages) That was the first ever GBA game I bought! FE turned out to be completely different, and then late last September, I brought it with me onto a school trip and started playing it on the coach with Cat next to me. She was intrigued and I let her have a go. By the next week she had bought it herself and memorised every single level name she had passed! (that's how Cat first discovered FE, through me!!!)

I didn't buy my fe7(actually i dont 'own' any of them) I just heard my brother bought a Game for GBA that had to do with Archers and wyvernriders(I wasn't interested in the game, then he said those two words: archers and wyvern riders...) and i was like "O.O Really?! Let me see! Lets me see!" Unfortunately, since i was lower on the pecking order in my home, i was not allowed a File...(There are 3 ) And then, when they weren't looking, i stole the game cartridge, replaced it with mario bros. and the magical coffee that gives people happiness, and locked myself in my room, with it, i was hooked immediately, i saw Lyn take out the first enemy that attacked with a crit. and said: "HOMYGOSH!" i was a bit surprised when i sent lyn to attack the boss, and she didn't do her Crit. and the boss simeltaneously killed her...(Unlucky yes, but how often is it that you get a crit the first time you play? Yin and Yang people.) and as soon as i got my Pegasus knights(and archers) i tranied and trained my uber cool people, until only by not placing Marcus in front of the hard-hitter, was i able to keep my characters alive!
I love fire emblem... alas, i no longer have it in my possesion, instead, i have my Playstation which allows the yay-fun-ness of FFx&x-2 along with KH-1&2. But soon,(oh, so soon!) i will steal my 8 year old cousin's gamecube, rent POR, and become so addicted to it, my eyes shall twitch involuntarily!!!! alas, till that day... emo

Yup, it's true. I remember the first level I played: Chapter 15, Noble Lady of Caelin. And I NEARLY killed someone. NEARLY. They narrowly escaped death because I gave the game back to Jimmy. You see, at that time I knew nothing of vulneraries. If I had, then maybe I wouldn't have needed to return the game to Jimmy. 3nodding It's true. She said I'd done well for my first time. Because no one died! biggrin

I owe Alex.
I had seen the game before and really wasn't paying much attention to GBA games, aside from any and all megaman games.*one of my life goals is to beat every megaman game in existance* But one of my friends had bought FE7 and froced me to play it. It was late and I was playing FFX so I really could have cared less and brushed it aside.
So Alex and I were in a show together and I gave it a try whilst seeing him play it. Shortly there after I beat my friends game before he did so he gave it to me.
That's my story.
