A cool breeze came threw the sand lot carrying the taste of thin dust to Daye's nose. She coughed lightly and looked at her friends standing by her. She sighed and looked at the sky then back at him. "I miss Roxas already..." she admitted quietly. Axel nodded slowly and turned to look at Daye.
"I miss him too..." He admitted. Then a small, quirky grin spread across his face, but he offered no explanation. Daye got up off the bench and passed back and forth. "There has to be someway to... to get him back..." "You read my mind, Daye!" Axel replied, getting up to follow her pacing only standing backwards to face her.
"So, how're we gonna do it? We already know we can't depend on the others." "I don't know... well we have to get Sora to be a heartless right..?" Daye paused in her passing to look at the sky. Axel stumbled a little upon the abrupt stop but soon regained his balance.
"It appears so, seeing as how that's how Roxas came to be in the first place. But how do we do that? The kid's got a strong will and an even stronger heart...But even the strongest hearts can be broken..." He mused. Daye looked at him with wide eyes. "But how did he get turn in the first place?" She asked as if she was goiong somewhere with that question. "I dunno, it was something having to do with some Kairi girl...I don't know much about the subject, Xemnas knows all those details I imagine." Axel shrugged slightly, idly stooping down to pick a dandelion that was growing out of a crack in the ground. "Exactly! Kairi! Don't you see? He did it all for Kairi!!" Daye exclaimed. "Did what, exactly?" Axel asked, staring at and twirling the dandelion between his fingers. "Everything! If we get Kairi then we can get Roxas back! All we have to do is.... well...." Daye dragged a finger across her throat. "Everything? So you're saying by killing this Kairi girl we can turn Sora into a Heartless and get our Roxas back?" Axel asked, stopping his dandelion-twirling to stare at Daye intently. "Well he went to the darkness to get her back once, don't you think if shes gone he might just stay there?" Daye asked. "All we have to do is get her..." "But don't you think he knows there's no way to bring back the dead? Why would he even try? Unless...Hm...Maybe if we give him an ultimatum...Ah what the heck, it's worth a shot if it gets my best friend back!" Axel said. "Tell you what, I'll go find this Kairi girl, you stay here and wait until I get back. We'll figure out what to do from there." Daye nodded to him with a smile. Axel smiled turned to leave. Then his attention turned to the dandelion still in his hand.
"These things are supposed to grant wishes...so..."
He closed his eyes and blew the tiny white puffs into the breeze. He watched them fly away and then with an ever-so-Axel-like grin faded into the darkness. Daye smiled faded when he left. She layed down on the bench and watched the clouds in the sky move counting the seconds til Roxas returned. All of a sudden, a shadow was cast upon the Sandlot. The air screamed as a bright seafoam green ship plummeted from the sky, covered in marvelous flame as bits and blocks of the vehicle flew off all over. The cockpit flew open and a terrified girl flung herself into the sky, yelling as she was thrown into all kinds of disturbing positions by the whirling wind. She landed in a heap on the ground, clutching herself, and she looked over her shoulder as the fallen ship impacted the ground and exploded. The blonde groaned and attempted to pull herself up, shaking and coughing. She pressed gloved hands against a building and pulled herself up, wincing at the flames.
Daye flung herself against the wall as the flames from hell rained ships and girls from the sky. After the ship crashed she looked the girl over with wide blue eyes. Daye looked around to make sure no more ships were coming from who-knows-where, then approached the girl with careful steps. "Aw man..." The tall blonde continued to face the wall, grumbling to herself. Even though her body was still in a bit of shock, she slowly groped along the side of the building; anything to get away from the fire. "I can't believe I crashed... I was so sure that I made this one correctly... all that work..." she wailed softly to herself. "And the townspeople are going to be so mad!" She cast another look at the fallen ship. "I should... I should try to put it out. Yeah." Steeling herself, the girl pushed away from the wall, dashed around the corner of the building..... and smacked right into Daye. "Ah! I'm so sorry!"
Daye, who was knocked flat on her a**, rubed her forhead. "It'z alright..." She looked up at the girl and smiled. "That was quite the fall, are you okay?" She asked standing up and whipping the dust of her cloths. "Erm, it's nothing a hi-potion wouldn't fix," The girl rubbed her shoulder, looking embarrassed, before her mind snapped back into place. "Where's a hose? Water?" She asked hurriedly, looking around.
"Oh... Umm..." Daye looked around. "I don't know... maybe... oh! I know! The weapons shop! " "Weapons..." The blonde paused from panicking, and turned around with a thoughtful look. "Yeah... I almost forgot..." She held out her arm and looked into the flame, a white light appearing in her hand. She gripped the handle of a Kingdom Key, bronze in color, and squeezed her eyes shut nervously. "Blizzard!"
Shards of ice flew out at the ship, melting and putting out the fire. The keyblader took a peek with one eye, relaxed, and heaved a sigh of relief. "Sorry about that. At least it didn't spread very far..."
"Could have been alot worse." Daye agreed. "Nice spell." "That's true. I'm amazed it even worked... I'm kinda new at this whole magic thing. Never thought I'd need it," The girl admitted, and then, to be polite, added - "My name's Shepry, by the way. Shepry Cure."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Daye, just Daye." She smiled and pushed her glasses back up on her nose. "Nice to meet you too," Shepry rubbed the back of her head, and then asked awkwardly. "Uh... is this Traverse Town?"
"Traverse Town? No... this is Twilight Town." Daye said with a smile. Shepry sighed. "I guess I didn't expect it to be... I did crash, and all." She looked into the sky for a moment, before cheering up and giving a tight smile. "Well.... No use crying over spilled milk, I say. Thanks for your help."
"Well I didn't really do anything..." Daye said. She bit her lip then smiled. "Hey wanna go get an icecream?""Mmm..." Shepry looked up thoughtfully and rubbed her chin. "All right. I can try to salvage parts later," the girl gestured to her ship. "Are you a local?"
"Yeah, I've been around here a while." She started to walk to the ice cream place. "Maybe you can show me around," Shepry smiled and followed after Daye. "I'm a bit clueless."
"Sure! We can start with the best part after we get an ice cream." Daye smiled and ran around the corner and disappered up the hill. Shepry looked surprised when Daye took off running, and hurried after, blinking as she ascended a hill with much ease. "Man... I wish I was that fast," she commented to herself, ambling up the hill.
Daye suddenly came back down the hill and almost crashed into Shepry (again). She smiled and handed her a blue popsickle. "Come on I have someplace speacial to show you!" She said turning around and heading back up the hill. "Wha, wait up!" Shepry called, hurrying clumsily after and holding her popsicle carefully, as though afraid it would fall off the stick.
Daye smiled and hurried ahead. She quickly climed her way up above the train station, and looked down at Shepry. "Up here!" Shepry looked around, not quite sure where the voice was coming from, before she noticed Daye's pink hair. And the...enormous clock tower. "Ummm." She tilted her head at it, sizing it up. "All right," she said finally, and looked for the way up.
"Look around the right side of the station!" Daye shouted down to her. "Oh!" Shepry blinked, chided herself for being such a space case, and did as she was told. She jogged along to the right side of the station, where she found a flight of stairs. Eventually, she made her way up to the clock tower, and edged cautiously over to where Daye was sitting. She lowered herself down, heaved a sigh of relief, and looked at her popsicle. It hadn't melted yet. Huh. "These are really well-made, aren't they," she mused.
Daye nodded and sucked on her popsickle. She looked out over the town and sighed. "Beautiful huh?" Shepry nodded, her eyes dreamy. She put the popsicle in her mouth, sucked on a moment, then took it out and gave it a funny look. She held it at her side for a moment, looking out at the breathtaking sunset. "It's a great view..."
"The best in town!" Daye smiled and returnded to eating her popsicle. Meanwhile in another part of Twighlight Town....
Sora, Donald and Goofy have awakened from a long sleep, have met Pence, Hayner and Olette, and are walking around the center of town. Sora looked around exitedly. "What's this town called?" He asked his three new friends, staring as a trolly like thing passed them by.
"This is Twighlight Town," Olette told her new friend cheerfully. "You must be really new here." "There's not much to this place, anyway," Hayner interjected, walking somewhat ahead of the group with his hands behind his head. "People make up stories because they're bored." Obviously disappointed with the results of their summer project. A fist holding a giant nerf bat caught the exited Sora's attention attention. "Hmmm." He strolled over to the poster on the wall. When he got there he stared at it, weaving his fingers together he put both hands behind his head. "Hey Hayner, what Struggle?" He called to the others.
"You mean you don't know?" Hayner turned around and gave Sora an incredulous look. Sora looked around innocently "Should I know?"
"Man. Where do you come from? I thought it was all over the place," Hayner rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, just tell him already," Pence pushed Hayner playfully. "I'd rather show you," Hayner turned to Sora and grinned. "What do you say? You've got nothing better to do, right?" "uhh..." Sora looked around nervously at Donald and Goofy.
Donald raised a.... feather/finger to interject. "Actually, we should be-" "I suppose we don't have anything immediate." Sora said running over Donald's words. He looked at his feathered friend and smiled, a silly 'opps' grin.
"Great! Come with us to the Sandlot," Pence grinned and waddled off after Hayner, who had begun to leave as soon as Sora gave the okay.
"This'll be interesting," Olette laughed, waved at Sora and company, and jogged to catch up with Hayner.Sora shrugged and followed the trio, not looking to see wither or not Goofy and Donald were coming too. He tried not to act too nervous over what might come next.
"Hey, wait for us!" Donald yelled irritably, hurrying after Sora with Goofy following. Sora laughed and ran to catch up to Pence, Ollette and Hayner, leaving Goofy and Donald behind (but not by much.)
Having fallen behind of everyone else including Goofy, Donald hustled into the Sandlot, not looking pleased. He decelerated and stood still, next to the line of kids, staring at a crater and a crashed Gummi ship.
"What happened?" he exclaimed in awe. It wasn't every day you saw another gummi ship, let alone an abandoned one. "It looks like a space ship!" Pence exclaimed, clearly thrilled. "It's a gummi ship!" Sora said looking at the ship. "but who's? The kings?"
"King? What king?" Pence gave Sora a funny look. "What's going on?" Hayner crossed his arms. He wasn't really happy that there was going to be a big hole in the sandlot, even if it was made by something as cool as a space ship. Goofy stood next to the ship, looking at it with a puzzled face. "Gwarsh, d'ya think it really could be the King's, fellas?" He asked, scratching his head. "But then, uh, it's not like Chip and Dale to build somethin' so...Well, somethin' so...that would crash like that." He added. "How would you know?" Donald looked at Goofy questioningly, wondering if he knew much about Gummi ships. "Well, I just know that usually Chip and Dale's ships don't have a habit to crash. And d'ya really think they'd put the King in an unsafe ship?" Goofy replied. "That's true. Still, it means someone's here from another world...." Donald said thoughtfully. "Maybe it's Riku!" Sora said gleefully, louder then he ment too.
"Do YOU have any idea what's going on?" Pence asked Olette, who shrugged. "Maybe we should just let them talk," she suggested. "It seems important."
