I've heard it's supposed to be really good but the art kinda turns me off. I really like the storyline and all, it's very realistic and the music is really nice. But what do you guys think? What are the good points and bad points of this show?

The art seems odd at first, but as you get pulled in by the story it really fits the tone of the story.

To be honest, I consider this to be one of the best shows I've seen in what is now about 21 years of watching Japanese animation... and I really don't feel that there was a bad point, just parts where some might consider it a little slow.

To be honest, forget about reading plots and looking at screenshots and clips and just check out the first 4 episodes or so. If it doesn't have you by then, it isn't for you.

Don't feel so bad, this is one of those shows that can NOT be summed up easily.

Lemme know when you get to the episode with Takemoto's birthday.

But for now, I'll leave you with one simple thought...

I saw it last year when the fansubs finally came out in a batch. Funny how it was popular enough for me to torrent the entire first season in about a day or two...but now you can hardly find a thread about it on Gaia.

Hachikuro is one of my favorite anime of all time now. I claim Morita as my own. heart

eek I started watching it because I thought the art was really good. Then I got sucked in by the story.
