I suck at weapons. I go outside and I practice basics-consecutives, flourishes, and tosses. On rifle, I can do up to a double, and on the sabre I'm working on a blade double, but I just can't get it.
Any suggestions as to effective ways to practice tosses on weapons?

Hmm, what exactly are your problems? Slow tosses, fast, high, low, etc. Are you spinning in your correct planes? What's your guard's technique? As in, do you dip, where do you dip, where do you hold the gun, what counts do you release on, what are your freehands etc?

If you are able to solidly catch low tosses but just don't have the strength to get higher ones to rotate, then you should do lots and lots of slow spins....that is the only thing that will get your wrists strong enough.
