The guild is empty 'cuz we just started it and all, so I thought a discussion post or two would be good. And what better to talk about than little Killua Zoldyck, neh?
Feel free to voice your opinion of the world's favorite, messy haired, little, HxH protagonist. Talk about about his family, his journeys with Gon, his personality, his fighting style and nen techniques, how he contributes to the gloriousness that is Hunter x Hunter, and just about anything else you can think of. Or even complain about something. It's all up to you.
Personally, I give him an A+. xDD *feels dirty now*

Hmmm....I do like Killua. But he's really cocky! I love the fact that he's only twelve but he acts like he's an adult sometimes. whee It's cute.
His...family. Personally, I want to rip his brother, Illumi's arms off, then dangling them above a group of rabid dogs and make him watch them be eaten. Then, I will slowly and painfully saw his legs off while injecting a slow killing poison in him. After his legs are off, then I'll beat him with his decapitated legs until his face is so bruised up, it looks black. After that, I would make some cannibal chefs cook up his legs and make him eat his legs in soup form, and as he eats, the cannibal chefs are knawing off his ears in the process. After THAT, I will put those leeches in him that that one guy put in one of the spiders that will go into your urinary track and go into your bladder and he will die when peeing in his pants....PAINFULLY. I'm not so sure about his other family members yet, I have to know what their like. (hopes their not as evil as Illumi)
Yup! ^^ That's what I think about his brother. Sweet, isn't it? (angel halo over her head)
I love his friendship with Gon! He cares for Gon very much. (NOT THAT WAY PEOPLES!) I would love to have Killua as a friend. Seeing as he would protect Gon with everything he had, he would do the same for me!
His Nen technique is AWESOME! I would love to be able to change water to some sweet substance! xD Yummy!
Killua is an all-around awesome character. ^^

He is very much an awesome character. ^^ Not to mention a deep one. And you hafta admit, with a family like that, you'd tend to grow up reeeeaaal quick, if you catch my drift. x3
As for Illumi, he is rather intense. And definitely in the bad way. You find out just how much so in the Chimera Ant story arc. *hopes the poor kid's head wound heals before Illumi can go any further* But at least Illumi has a reason for everything he does to poor Killua-kun. Milluki just sort of whips him until he gets an apology (which he really doesn't x3). They've been hinting at some interesting future encounters between Killua and certain family members, so I have to wonder whether he'll be okay when this is all over. *huggles the poor, abused, chibi assassin*

Killua's not my most favorite character, but I do like him. I think it's really cool that even though his family forced himout of a childhood, he still acts more like a kid than an assassin (most of the time). Like when he and Gon were fishing on the war ship during the hunter exam, and he was scared of the fish he caught. I absolutely loved that scene! And the way he and Gon are so attached to each other is absolutely adorable. They balance each other out really well, I think.
As for his family, there are deffinately some issues there. His mom scares me. eek I don't know if anyone here has ever seen the Nightmare of Zaoldyeck musical, but if you have you should know what I'm talking about. I like Killua's dad, though. He actually supports his son's decision to be friends with Gon.

*twitches spastically as I try to hold a smile* Oh, yes! Silva's just sooooo understanding of his son! He's sooo not manipulating him to his own twisted, perverted, cruel ends! He's such an understanding father! Yes, indeed! Absolutely! I'm sure he loves his son and knows that Gon is the very best thing that's ever happened to the poor kid! *still twitching* Of course! He wants Killua to have a happy life outside the world of assassination! He knows that his son will never want to return to his former life except in the case that something positively awful happens and he is to blame for hurting/killing one of his best friends! And I'm positive that Silva's definitely not planning for exactly that to happen!!
*stops twitching* Whew! Sorry 'bout that! sweatdrop You can ignore me if you want, I just didn't want to do anything ... too ... bad. Yeah. Let's just stick to the word bad, neh? *whistles in a blatantly obvious attempt at appearing inconspicuous*

That's okay. Everyone is entiltled to their opinion. I never said he was the best, most wonderful-splendiferous father in the universe, but when he says thing to Killua like "It's been so long since I've seen you smile" and "Never betray your friends," it makes me think he really does have Killua's best interests at heart. Not that those interests have always been 100% sane/legal/normal, of course. NO ONE in that family is any ONE of those things.

That's certainly true. ^^ No one in that family feels very obligated to listen to any form of authority, huh?
I will admit though, that I think Killua's mother is much worse than his father. She's the real reason behind all of the problems Killua-kun has to deal with in the later chapters. At least his father recognizes that Killua is a young boy and that keeping him locked up in a dungeon while whipping him brutally isn't exactly going to help him mature. x3
Kalluto. She's the Zoldyck I'm most interested in (besides Killua). In the beginning she was just creepy, and I wanted to know more about her just because of that. But after all I've read, I think there's more to her. She may be just a little more like Killua than she is like Illumi or Milluki. Then again, I may just be getting my hopes up. ^^;

From what I've seen of Karuto (and believe me, that isn't much), I think she cares about her family more than anything else. Killua especially. She's the one who called Mike off when he was attacking Gon and the others, and I think this is because she knows Killua cares about them and doesn't want to hurt him. But she doesn't like them, either. When she and her mother first meet them you can see Karuto's eye twitch just before she leaves. I believe this is either because a.) They threaten to break up her family, or b.) They are going to take away her precious big brother.
And yeah, the way she is always just standing there staring is a little unsettling.

Yeah. ^^ I read the manga first, and in the manga all you really see of her during that part is when she's with her mother, staring at Gon and Leorio and Kurapika all evil like. It feels like she's trying to suck out their souls or something. x33
I thought, "I want to know what she's thinking."
She's a really intriguing character. I want her and Killua to meet up again. *grins mischieviously* I have a feeling it would definitely be ... intersting.

Ok, ignoring Karuto for a sec (Not that I don't love her, but still). I just finished watching the Celestial Tower episodes. I can officially say that while Killua is cool and everything, he SCARES ME. Like a bomb waiting to explode. The way he threatened the other competetors was TOO creepy. And then when he was at Gon's house he hurt Mito-san! I think he didn't mean to and regretted it, but still. I hope some of Gon's personality rubs off on him as the series progresses.

Gon's presence is constantly rubbing off on him. ^^ You see it more and more as each story arc progresses. Killua's totally hooked.
And I don't mean it in any sort of deranged yaoi way. D< I'm serious. They often refer to Gon as the Light and Killua as the Darkness, especially during the whole "Going to Killua's House" plot line. And it's true. Gon makes Killua forget about all the stuff he's been through with his family. It's really sweet, their relationship. Spoiler----> Bisuke notices that too. That's why she decides to ruin their friendship. ^^ <----End. And later on, Killua gets really, really protective of Gon. It's around there where he starts to overcome his deeper, darker problems.
But you also have to take into account that what Killua did, threatening those guys like that, prevented any further problems with Zushi. It also allowed for Gon and Killua to fight on fair terms, without having to lose on purpose.
I really, really do like Killua. But it's best when Killua and Gon are just hanging out together. Fighting over chocolates, talking under the cover of the stars, and playing deadly, hunter-only video games. ^^
...
Man, I get so into this anime that it's a little creepy. x33

Announcement!!
Le gasp! Kalluto is actually a guy! o.O
Apparently the English translators for the manga forgot to mention that all the Zoldyck siblings are male. I had absolutely no idea. In the English translation it just states that there are "5 siblings," not "5 brothers."
Anyways, this completely ruins my doujinshi, but I suppose it's too late to bother with that now. x3
Well, just thought I'd let you know the horrible truth. So, there you have it. ^^

yay! i managed to read everything. i'm glad you found out that karuto is a boy... or else i would have mentioned it. okay... well i really do like Killua... i think he is a rather complex character who if the series didn't have him wouldn't do as well as it has. i agree that he definitely had to grow up fairly fast, but in a family like the Zaoldyecks... that's to be expected. his mother kikyo frightens me... she's like one of those women who are obsessed with controlling her kids life... and she needs to back off. i mean... karuto is her son and she has him wearing kimono... not that I have anything against it... i am okay with cross dressing. i cannot stand his brother milluki... and as for illumi... i don't know why... but i do like him... he is very intriguing as far as i can tell... but still... very creepy all the same. His father Silva... i like him to a point, but it's so aparent that he wants to interfere with Killua's life. I don't know what his plans are, but I know he's up to something. oh... and i have a question about the five Zaoldyeck children... My friend pointed it out to me... so let's see if you guys can point out the pattern of their names. you might already know... so i apologize if I have posted up something you have seen.
Illumi milluki Killua Alluka kalluto
okay... there it is... Really some of those names look better spelled with a R i think. That's why i like to spell Kalluto as karuto and alluka as aruka. if you all don't know... aruka is the one son they don't show... but in a picture... you see in the background a figure with long black hair... and they don't say who it is. uh, i am sorry for going on and on about things in here. I'll stop this post now.

Wow, really? Where'd you learn Alluka's name? o.O *feels left out*
And I did notice that weird double-l thing. That's why I named my character Nilluko. x3
As for the Zoldyck family, I personally think that most of them are just plain nuts. xD Illumi's interesting, and I really wouldn't think of him as such a bad guy if it weren't for the fact that he's obviously an object of terror for poor Killua. Almost more so than Silva. Kikyo is just scary; not only is she really controlling, but it almost seems like she's got a sick obsession with her children, a very twisted one. Anyone who can torture her children and then say she loves them is obviously lacking in the sanity department. It's no wonder Kalluto's in a dress. x3 As for Milluki, he makes me wonder. How'd he turn out like that when all of his siblings are quiet, tortured souls with bodies toned through countless child abuse violations? xP
Kalluto though, I'm interested in. Guy or girl, he's different somehow. I'd like to know the reasons for him going after Killua in the latest story arc though. I can't tell for sure whether his showing up again is a good thing or a bad thing.

okay... i'll tell you how i know aruka's name... it actually makes sense with the pattern of the names... With the exception of Illumi since he is the eldist... the beginning of each of the sibling's name is the end of the sibling born before them... illumi... and Miluuki... you see... the mi at the end of Illumi's name is the beginning of Milluki's name the same is true with killua and Milluki... milluki... killua... and since the names follow that pattern... that's how you can figure out aruka's (Alluka) name... does it make sense?... or have a confuzzled your brain some more.
Uh... yeah... that whole family for the most part is nuts... karuto is my favorite of the sibling not counting killua... i heard that he is actually a member of the Genei Ryodan now... but I haven't seen passed the York Shin saga... so I need to catch up with stuff. i have a CD based on a day in the life of the Zaoldyeck family... it's so funny... if i can ever figure out how to get the tracks on my computer i'll send them to you... it usually wouldn't be so hard... but my comp is a pain. Anyway... back to karuto briefly... he is the most silent one out of the whole family and all he ever says as far as I've seen is "hai, oka-sama." i thought it was so cool... and i'm guessing he either doesn't talk when with the genei Ryodan... or he actually says a lot more since he doesn't have his mother to restrain his words. oh... and i certainly didn't know that he has shown up in the later chapters... you have me very curious now.
