Since we've been hovering around the topic of shipping more than a few times in recent topics, I think we should have one topic to discuss stuff like that rather than talking about them all over the place.
In case you're confused as to what a shipping is, 'ship' comes from relationship, like in the lovers way. So Mudshipping is Isaac/Mia shipping, Isaac and Mia together as I'm sure many people would know by now.
So, come here and discuss pairings!

Rules
Let's face it, with a discussion as volatile as pairings, we need to have rules so that this won't escalate into a flamewar. And believe me, I'll be watching this topic VERY CAREFULLY. There's no way I'm going to let everybody start flaming each other into oblivion. Ok, on with the rules.
Respect each other's opinion- That goes without saying. Don't yell at somebody if they like Valeshipping, everybody's entitled to their own opinion, and if you don't like it, please keep it to yourself.
Don't insult pairings- Don't go around saying 'Valeshipping stinks and is the most unlikely pairing ever'. If you don't believe in a pairing, simply explain why as rationally as possible.
Don't try to convert each other- Put the pendulums and the book on hypnotism away, this isn't a cult. Let people ship, don't bother trying to show them the Light.
Be nice to shipping groups- Apparently, calling all Valeshippers scum is a very fast way to get into a war. Don't do it. Don't call any groups rude names.
If I see anybody starting to get into a heated argument or the like, I'll delete the posts that started it. Continued aberration may result in topic closure. Have fun! Remember, it's only a wonderful, out of this world game that many of us have pledged our lives to. 3nodding

I might as well start off being the rabid mudshippa I am.
Mudshipper - Noun. - A person(s) who is a fan of the pairing Mia and Isaac.
I have to say that this is the one I get along most with. Mia the quiet one and Isaac the quiet (up in til' TLA). They seemed perfect together for me. The first fics I had ever read were Mudshippers and it was actually Midnight C's. I began to notice how well they fit together, how cute they were... I didn't need proof from Camelot, I believed it was possible myself.
Hands down my favorite pairing.
Flameshipper - Noun. - A person(s) who is a fan of the pairing Jenna and Garet.
The flirt scene was a doozy in the first game, but they seem like puzzle pieces waited to be connected. You see, with Jenna's hot temper and Garet's cluelessness, they seem to be the love/hate relationship where no one's better then the other. Leaving it at a standstill. It works for me.
Finally:
Windshipping - Noun. - A person(s) who is a fan of the pairing Sheba and Ivan.
I know people have said, "No! Sheba is Ivan's long lost step brother/cousin twice removed on his grandmother's side..." I don't care. Sure they look the same. And sure Sheba seems to flirt with Felix, but I chose Sheba and Ivan cause they work. Felix's age/height is above Sheba and it's something I just... can't do. I don't like it. But Ivan fits perfectly.

Now I'll talk about my favourite pairings... at the moment. My favourite pairings change fairly often, but on a steady rotation, so I always come back to the same ones eventually. Garet/JennaMy OTP. 3nodding I'll happily obsess over it. It's gosh-darned cute. Jenna seems to have this way of picking on him but never going too far and she does stick up for him, and they pretty much flirt in GS. ... I could go on with my reasons for this, but I have a lot sweatdrop Um, if you let yourselves be defeated by Agatio and Karst at Jupiter Lighthouse, and when they get away and Isaac and co. arrive, Isaac's like "OMG, they got away" but Garet's all "How could those meanies do that to Jenna?!" ^_^ (That's a rhetorical question, I think wink ) Isaac/MiaUm, well, this doesn't disrupt the great Flameshipping pair, so that's an important factor. And, lets face it, Mudshipping IS cute! (I'm starting to sound like an obsessed 12 year old fangirl with all the 'cutes'...) Ivan/ShebaI'm a Lighthouseshipper too, but Windshipping just looks pretty nice next to the major pairs... it ties in as Sollunashipping after all. I'm not put off by the fact they look alike, and they are similar in age and seem to get on pretty well, I think they would have made fast friends too. ... You know, it's strange. Sheba's only really just met Ivan there on the lighthouse, and she's more concerned for him than the Mars Adept hanging off with one arm. xd

I'm a mudshipper. Some of the works of the great authors kind of moved me to that side. I was a valeshipper when I originally started playing Golden Sun, but I've been converted. whee

Not that not liking Valeshipping is good, I mean... *looks out nervously for Valeshippers* It's A-OK with me.
Anyway, what I'd like to know is, just what do people see in Picard/Mia? I just don't get it at all. The only thing they have in common is their element, and the only time Picard ever talks to Mia is when telling her they should heal the parents, and as far as I know, Mia never talks to Picard.
So why do so many people seem to like Picard/Mia? gonk

Back to the topic. Well, I really don't mind the most popular and... "Normal" type of shippings. Somehow I've never got fon od mudshipping, steamshipping kinda makes me laugh, and I'd laugh some more at flameshipping. xD;; And why Felix jumped off the Lighthouse, I consider it just a biiiig plot hole or a biiig plot hole in Felix's mind. o_O Anyone ever heard of Hama/Felix? It's kinda strange, but seems rather fine... -_o

I thought that Felix/Mia was a decently mainstream ship... I've seen several fics with it before and there doesn't seem to be anything really controversial about it. (other than that it wouldn't happen XD) So why's it under the "we don't want to see" list? Quote: Anyone ever heard of Hama/Felix? XD One pairing I wouldn't mind seeing more of is Felix/Lady Uzume. ^^ For some reason, they seemed like they would fit together... and it would help out the Sollunashipping problem of who Felix would end up with... There's also Felix/Garet's Sister, but I'm not as fond of that.
