when the whole nabster thing came out, and lars was complaning about all of the illegal downloads. i was like " dude quit whinning". if people are downloading your songs that means that they are your true fans. if u think that they killed nabster or whatever post a comment.

Well i am both ways on this, yes i have downloaded Metallica songs, only cause i am to lazy to rip the cd's i have... as far as "true fans" they would support the band... downloading and not paying for it isnt supporting... Antics... stfu lmao, i know what your thinking...

Well... some people download songs (singles) when they dont want the whole album.
I think on the artists' point of view, nobody would want their songs because even thought that means their talent is recognized, they are still being ripped off (and so they are not CREDITED)
so yeah... it's like after you worked hard and your boss say to you "hey that's a BEAUTIFUL job you did there. but since you have been working so much and earned so much for me, how about I just skip a month of payment this time? You have lots of money anyway."

I do agree that Metallica killed napster, but I also think that if they didn't someone else would have.

ya they sort of did kill napster...but if you were them and people were downloading your music and not giving you money wouldn't you be mad?

they (metallica) just did the whole thing because they wanted the money in my oppinion. So did they kill Napster (NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) i mean i still software for it. so no they didn't kill them
