What do you think about gay marriage? Personally, I think have EVERY right to have a child or marriage. What is wrong with it just because they like the same sex? It is dumb. And you know what is even worse? More people have a problem with male and male because it seems more wrong, but in society girl and girl is "acceptable", which is sad. Either way why would it be bad for a gay couple to get married or having children, and al lthe bashing on them is just dumb.

This is America. This is a country of freedom. Very human has the right to say what they wish and do what they wish as long as it is within the laws. The bill of rights tells us what our rights are. One of them is our right of choice. Illegalising gay marriage is taking away one of our rights. The government has no right of doing that. The religous people, homophobic people, and just plain anti rights people, has NO right to tell others what they can or cannot do. Banning gay marriage will not stop the love between people. There will always be those who will be gay no matter what happens. The government is going against it's own laws in banning the right to marry who ever you want. Everyone has the right to live and love and we all love to live. If you take out either of the two all that we have worked so hard for in this country will fall into chaos. I say take out the marriage ban forever. Let those who want to marry, marry. And let those who wish to despise and hate it, do so. It is not their right to decide what is right or wrong, but the person making choices for themselves.

i do not feel it is harmful for anyone to grow up in such a home.
in fact, typical rebelliousness may make the child decide to be straight!
i have a friend who made that decision; she wa raised by her mom and her mom's lover but definitely made up her own mind about how she would live.
nobody at school ever teased her about her home as far as i know.

chessiejo i do not feel it is harmful for anyone to grow up in such a home. in fact, typical rebelliousness may make the child decide to be straight! i have a friend who made that decision; she wa raised by her mom and her mom's lover but definitely made up her own mind about how she would live. nobody at school ever teased her about her home as far as i know. go rebelion! but anyways tha tis why most people say that is wrong for the child is because the kids would make fun of them...whatever. I know people like that and they are fine and no one makes fun of them

Well I dont think it is fair that two people of the same sex that love each other should not be able to get married. In this country we are supposed to be free to do as we please(unless it is against the law you know what i mean) yet when it comes to gay marriage many states in the U.S say that it is not allowed for two people of the same sex to get married.
Now in some states they have um civil unions(think thats what its called) were gay people can be together but are not legally considered married.
They might have commitment to one another but still not legally considered married.
America needs to get over its hate of gays and let them be with one another in peace.
I mean personally I dont find anything weird or strange about gay couples.

I'd feel sorry for the kid, but a gay couple has any and every right to engage in marriage and have a kid. Even though it is wrong(being gay I mean) in my eyes.

Yah, thats the only reason. Well its just as wrong as a different religion((MY OPINION! AND MY FAITH SO DONT START CURSIING AT ME!)) so thats how I treat em. Like a normal person.
When I say its wrong it not like the murderer or mental illness kind of wrong. I mean, its not what I believe as my god wants. Just like everything else we do wrong. Lie, cheat, seldomly steal. Covet anothers belongings. Think about doing horrible things to someone. All of these I do. So the liking of one's sex, in my eyes is just about as bad as a person who does that. So there not actaully different in anyway I know from the rest of us! So since there not dffferent at all, they deserve to be able to have children!

Plus I think a lot of people dont like them is ebcause they are diffrent from most of the public's standards. People honestly need to get lives and stay out iof their buisness.
People bash gays openly but if you look at it you dont really see any gays bashing the rest of the public for liking the opposite sex.

Hell, I have mental illnesses, and given the choice, I definately wouldn't choose to have them in the first place. Back on topic. I believe gays should have the right to get married and adopt. Gays don't choose their sexual preference. (Not the majourity at least.) Do you remember waking up one day and saying, "Hm, I think I'm going to be a hetero/homosexual?" Odds are, you never made that choice. Your sexuality is your sexuality. That being said, homosexuals shouldn't be penalized because of the way they were born. If two people want to get married, that's their choice, and no one should have the right to stop them. (Unless of course, it involves a minor.) Homosexuals should be allowed to adopt as well. Regardless of the parents sexuality the kid will be, what it will be. A girl getting raised by two lesbians doesn't necissarily mean she's going to be a lesbian as well. Odds are, she'll just be more acceptant of homosexual relationships.

See for people who believe in God, the reason it's morally wrong for them, is because they believe Satan is the one tempting the individual to be attracted to the same sex. So to them, God didn't make them that way. Also, the reason lesbian relationships are more "accepted," is because, well : 1.) Guys like the idea of two girls making out, whereas most girls are not sexually attracted to two guys doing the same. Considering that men are the "dominant" sex, it's not surprising. 2.) Women are more open with their sexualities. A woman is a lot more likely to admit she's a lesbian, than a guy will admit to being gay. Women have an "image standard" to live up to, whereas most guys have a "tough guy" standard to live up to. A girl who's just admited to being a lesbian won't get teased (as much) verses a guy, who will probably get beaten up, etc. It's a big deal because they make it that way. Men make a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to sexuality. When will they learn. rolleyes

Why does the government worry so much about marrage between two gays/lesibians when they should be trying to find Osama `bin Laden or worrying `bout the war?
why can't they just let everyone marry the love of their life regardless of gender?

because people love to dive into others personally afairs on who they personally like.
and honestly, i dont give a damn about there sayings in the bible. they have all the right in the world to believe in god, yes. but considering god is the one that makes them gay if they so believe that path since it is genetic, they have no right to complain on that standard.
