~Ha! This is my first post EVER on gaia. So, I thought of making an Role Play! Yay!~
Plot: ((Future)) "Few...have seen the Earth as it was in the past: Beautiful and full of life. Now the ones that have seen that...are long dead. 2306 A.D.E. the Earth is a broken shell, dirty chrome skyscrappers dot the few places that life still exists. Animals, plants, and humans...dying for an unknown sickness. It is only the very young and elderly that die now, but how long until it gets to us? Some humans believe that the "Eternal" is to blame. I too agree. The new government called "Eternal" came to us about...a hundred years ago. They promised they'd solve the problems...but their 'promise' shattered the hope of many of the civilians.
But there are the few that reject the orders of the horrible orders of Eternal and fight to find a cure for the sickness, Uroboros (I think I spelled the name of the sickness right). These assassins are called...."Iyasu". Still, we are far from finding a cure, but...now we believe that we can it soon then we had planned.
These warriors, the Warriors of Shikigami* (or The Densetsu), the few chosen humans that are drawn from their normal homes to train in the underground academy of Iyasu...for a strange training. But there was a piece of me missing; like I wasn't "complete" when I started. ((You will understand this as the story unfolds)) Something is calling me. I don't know what or who it is, but...I know it somehow."---Haku Xanos
*Shikigami: The art of summoning a guardian. Japanese type of magic.

Species: Human Weapon: None...currently Personality: Felt as if life isn't worth living, now that his mother has died from the Uroboros, but under that sad exterior he's reallly sweet. Strange Ability: Magnet Gravity. (The ability to summon tiny worm holes that suck in objects the same or smaller than it is, and crushes it within itself, until there is no room left and explodes. ~Aye! We will begin!~
"Mother...I brought flowers."
Haku Xenos, an almost normal boy, had lost his mother only a week ago, and lives his live alone with his younger sister, Lia. He still is having difficulty finding his way in life, now that he must both take care of him and his sister by doing odd jobs for Eternal. But, it was this day, that it all changed.
"Yeah, I had to sneak it by Eternal, but it was worth it," Haku whispered to the the disfigured stone with words chiseled into it. "The Lion Iris, your favorite flower, right?" Haku smiled at the tombstone and stood up. "I hope...you can pass on...to the good place."
"HAAAAKU!" Lia called from the back doorway, "I'm hungry!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Haku mumured, but before he left the grave marker, he sighed. "I wish I could be strong...like father, and protect the little family I have le---"
"HAKU! GET IN HERE YOU BRAINLESS SACK OF POTATOS!"
"One sec,' Lia." With that he left the tombstone, and headed home. ((Which I think was 2'ish miles away.))

After a few minutes of walking through the cold metal streets of Syria (Name of the city) leading down a grove of grey box-like houses---all the same with only the number on the doors to tell them apart. "176, 177, 178," he counted, "179!" Haku rushed to the sight of his own home; and began turning the diamond-shaped dial on the door. "Crud! The lock's broken again...We really need to get that fixed" He pointed his hand down and slowly lifted it upward; his palm giving a reddish glow. "Inryoku Kone!" ((Using gravity to force the lock to give)) A click sound soon followed his strange gesture, and the door swung downward, as most doors do in the future. But it wasn't a living room behind it.
"What?! What is this place?!"
Sadness, the one word to describe it. It was as if seeing everything blissful taken away from you; as Haku felt when his mother died. Corpses, skeletons, and blood lay strewn across the cave-like tunnel. Haku gasped in horror, and almost tripped over himself. "Lia.....LIA?!" At the memory of his sister he rushed blindly into the darkness; stomping on the bones that spread before him. He had forgotten his pain and shouted her name. "LIA!!! LIAAAA!!! LIAAA!!! LIAAA!!! WHERE ARE----WHAT?!" He had heard a faint noise behind him, and turned on pure instinct. Nothing could be seen. Then a sharp object struck his right shoulder. Before he could see what had bit him...he fainted---and began to dream.
Waves lapped his underside, tickling his body as he awoke. He shook his head, and glaced around. He had never seen such a beautiful place...yet he had somewhere in his memories. The land of the past, lush and sparkling with life. Rolling oceans brimming with pride as it stroked the cream-colored sand with its watery fingertips. Seagulls, cawing and playing in the sweeping tides. But the sight that made him the happiest...was his mother by his side. He leaned back in recoil and shock.
"M-Mother...I thought you were---Am I?!"
The woman merely turned and smiled. Haku didn't know what to think now...but soon he didn't want to think. A great surge of calmness over came him, and he had forgotten of the outside world. "Mother, I'm so glad to see you again."
"As do I, Haku," she said, turning back to the ocean. "Lay your head on my lap, like you did as a child." Haku obeyed his mother and placed his head on her folded thighs. "Haku...I love you."
But there was something odd about his mother: body as cold as winter, skin hard and scaly, and eyes dark and emotionless. Haku backed away from his mom and look at her in fear. "Wh-who are you?!" he questioned. She grinned in the same fraudulent smile and replied," I'm your mother, Haku."
His emotions turned. He began to hate his mother. Scowling, clinching his fists, growling: all the anger boiled inside of him. " I'll kill you for wearing my mother's skin....like that. How dare you mock me!!!" He shoved his closed hand into the body of the woman, but it was nothing more than a cloud of black dust. He withdrew himself and glared into the sky. "COME OUT, YOU COWARD!!!"
"Dear, dear...Did your mother teach you manners?!" the voice echoed from the abyss. Darkness engulfed the entire landscape like black water spreading down a clean canvas. "Kill him, my pets."
The darkness took shape; mangling itself into separate disfigured forms. Screeching and growling they lunged at the boy with swollen metallic fangs bared. (Of course a million to one isn't good odds.) His life seemed to stopped as he watched the creatures drew closer....then it happened...

"Hold still and fight like a man, you wuss!"
Akira had picked the wrong guy to annoy. Bumping into Bartholomew Jekin, a guy with a short temper and an inferiority complex, was an honest mistake. But now there was no backing out. He wanted afight, and Akira was going to give him one.
While parrying and dodging Bart's fists, hands still his own pockets, thoughts were running through Akira's mind as to how to end this fistfight quickly and as painlessly as possible.Then he decided to make a quick break for it as soon as he could.
Bart swung his arm once more, and Akira ducked under and swung his leg out, tripping Bart. He landed flat on his back, and Akira simply ran over him, stpping off his stomach and dashing for home. While running as hast as his legs could carry him, he turned back to see Bart barreling down the pavement right after him.
After being chased down a city street, Akira darted into an alleyway, but came across a dead end. "There's nowhere for you to run now, you little squirt!" Bart came toward him, slowly, but menacingly, ready to beat Akira into a bloody pulp. Meanwhile, Akira was rummaging through the many pockets of his pants and vest, looking for something, anything he could use to save himself. He pulled out what was left of a candy wrapper he had before. This'll have to do, he thought to himself. He held the wrapper above his head and prepared to toss it. "Oh, what? You're gonna hurt me with that? I'm so scared." He laughed and continued to move towards Akira.

Hitaro's parents had just died of the sickness. He stood my the edge of the bed not believing. How...how...why...why...THEM! It's their fault...they wouldn't do a thing to help...it's their fault...
He cried himself to sleep that night. As the clock struck twelve without a sound they came. And tied him up. He didn't wake until they were halfway down a dark alley heading underground. "MMMmpmpphhh!" His mouth was bound.

~WHY ARE YOU SO IMPATIENT?! Besides you didn't even put your guardian and instructor~
A burst of white light shot into the darkness. Haku felt a strange burning on his chest, and looked out at the enemies once more. They where reteating from something---the light. But he felt so weak....so tired. The world began to blur from his eyes, as he fell back. The last he saw of the place was a serpent calling out an ear shattering roar, then he shut his eyes.

"Get up, Young Master!" beckoned an unknown voice, "GET UP!"
Haku's forehead was striken by something solid...like a cane. He arose from his position, and rubbed his eyes. "Hmm? ACCCCK!!! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU?!" He backed himself into the tunnel wall, and flattened his body against it. "Get back!!" He pointed a finger at the....thing, and a tiny void the size of a thumbtack appeared on his fingertip.
The thing was a living, talking walking stick from Haku's eyes. The animal skull, possibly a tiger's, on it's handle was speaking to him. It's glowing eye sockets contained a single orb that swung back and forth as he spoke like beads rattling in a plastic cup. At least it wasn't dark anymore...but now...what of this thing?!
