Weather: Dark. Incredibly cloudy, so it seems as if the sun has set half a day early. A distant rumbling of thunder can be heard, and while the wind is present, it's not terribly dangerous.
Shy: Is in. He's in his office working like a good little project leader.
Beth: The receptionist, is in. She's watching a soap opera in a portable TV however, so she's a bit PMSie and distracted.

It was a cloudy day, and it looked like rain. Csilla had been quite enjoying the weather, as she was fond of darkness, but she wasn't fond of going out into the rain. It had been a struggle to get her out of the house, but when she finally did, the fae seemed to be happy to be out and about.
"Well, we've never been in to see Shy before, so I hope everything goes well. It's just a check-up, so don't worry! I'm sure everything will be fine." Elysia gave her starry-daughter a nod and a smile, hopefully encouraging her to be unafraid of what may happen.
Csilla gave her mother's hand a squeeze and she looked up at the ominous sky, just waiting for the clouds to part and the rain to fall. She wasn't fond of getting wet, but she did like rain, and the darkness that came with a good thunderstorm.
"Yeah," she replied softly, hoping it'd appease her mother. She was a bit nervous about the checkup. She'd never been to a doctor before.
They approached the building and walked in, and Elysia took note of the surroundings, her eyes finally landing on the receptionist, who seemed to be enthralled by Johnny and Suzanne's Biggest Fight Ever on Days of Our Lives.
"Excuse me," she said, hoping the woman would look up. "We're here for Csilla's medical evaluation."

Why did people have to walk in when it was getting good? With a quick flick of a glance, Beth judged the girl for what she was (FAE!) and nodded her head. "First elevator, thirteenth floor. The biggest door. You can't miss it." she was hardly going to leave her show.
This might be the final fight! Maybe Suzanne would finally dump the jerk and go after the guy who was not her stepbrother any more. Incest would have been gross.
"If the door is locked, just knock. Shy can be a bit stupid about his privacy." she said.
Shy, Shmy. Who cared? Unless he could tell her what happened at the end of this series...

Elysia thought the woman a little snappy--what was so exciting about a soap anyway? They were all so overdramatic! Instead of commenting on it, she nodded to the woman and gave her a curt 'thanks' before heading to the elevator.
"Will do," she replied to her locked door information. "C'mon Csi, let's get going." Looking over to the fae, she gave her a reassuring smile and took her hand once again, leading her over to the elevator.
Csilla followed her mother obediently. She didn't want to argue, and she thought she might learn something about herself from this check-up. It had been strange to live with Elysia, and Csilla still wasn't used to all of her other children. She preferred staying by herself, looking out the window and daydreaming.
As they entered the elevator, her silver eyes grew wide. What was this strange box that went up and down!? Feeling a bit nervous as the elevator flew upward, she grabbed the rail on the wall to steady herself. She wasn't used to such strange movements.
"What are we riding in?" she asked simply, looking up at the blue-eyed woman.
"It's an elevator," Elysia replied. "It goes up and down, so we can get to different floors."
As soon as she said it, the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. The pair walked into the entryway, and right in front of them, there was a huge door. "This must be the place," she said, squeezing Csilla's hand. She proceeded to walk toward the door, and she turned the handle, wondering if it was open. Letting go of Csilla's hand, she knocked lightly on the door and cracked it open.
"Hello?" she called out, "Is Shy available?"

The voice was quiet, through the door. But Beth had done her duty by buzzing them in, so Shy was prepared for it. "Shy is available." he said, his voice full of amusement. His desk was too neat for his mind, and as he tried to look for the new fae's folder, (he had a folder on all of his jars), he reminded himself to make it a bit messier.
All the better to find things.
Brightening the light, he walked towards the door and opened it. Zealous stalker he was of his fae, he hadn't managed to meet this one yet. Or find pictures of her.
He beamed. "Hello, you must be the guardian." he offered his hand for a shake, all the while trying to stare at the little girl. Well, she was a pretty one! "Please, come in, make yourself comfortable."
The room was large, larger than it should have been with floor to ceiling windows on one end. It was like a suite that had been renovated into an office, and really-- that was what had happened. A little dip in the center of the room with high backed regal chairs and a small table overflowing with sweet bites, a desk of handsome wood and green velvet with a computer perched at the very edge.
And books. Lots, and lots of books lining the walls like decoration.

The man seemed jovial enough as he opened the door to let mother and daughter in. Elysa smiled as he greeted them. He obviously had some sense of humor.
"Hello, I am 'the guardian'," she said, laughing and throwing up her fingers to quote her new title as she said it. "I'm Elysia, and this is Csilla." She moved aside so her daughter could get a glimpse of Shy as well. Elysia shook his and hand and took a seat in one of the high-backed chairs, looking around the office and seeing it's opulence. And, it looked like he read a lot too...
Csilla followed her mother's lead, but she couldn't help but notice that Shy was staring at her. She blushed a bit, but it was hard to see, as her skin was already quite dark. She took a seat next to Elysia and eyed the food placed on the table in front of them. They hadn't had lunch yet, and she was a bit hungry.
"Well, this is quite a collection of books you have here." Elysia was sure to let him know that she admired his collection. "Anyway, we were told to come here for a check-up."

Shy beamed. "Good, good!" look at this one. Was it stars under her skin? He could distinctly remember another fae having something similar... but this was different too. "I've contacted your tutors, and they should be here any moment. Now. The medical evaluation is purely for evaluatory purposes. They mark your progress and ensure that nothing unusual has happened from spirit to corporal form. Think of it was documentation that everything you thought was alright, is fine." he smiled. "You'll be introduced to two fae who will be with you all your life. When you develope your powers, they'll be along side you to teach you both about your gift and the fae's history." Yes. It seemed to be working out very well.
"Now, while we wait... do you have any questions?"

"Tutors? Well, I had no idea this would be so...involved. I'm glad she's getting checked up though. She looks quite healthy and beautiful," Elysia said, motioning to Csilla. "Though it's always good to make sure everything is as it seems."
Csilla was quiet as she listened to Shy tell her about the things she'd be learning. As soon as he was done talking, she spoke up in a quiet voice. She had questions, even if her mother didn't.
"Who will my tutors be?" she asked, giving Shy a serious look for a child her age. "And how will I know what my power is? Will it just be obvious one day?"

Shy nodded. His lips quirked into a smile. "The way any girl goes through puberty, you have some signs at first. Usually. But it's not unusual to find that one day the girl is... menstruating." Alright. Maybe not the best of analogies to use, but it was the only one he knew. "Your power will come to you one day, something will trigger it and while that first time it might come effortlessly, after that..." he hesitated. "You need to learn to control it like any other gift."
Settling into the next bit, something he was more comfortable with, he nodded. "You're tutors aren't assigned by me, most of the time. When a fae reaches child age, they choose amongst themselves who will best represent you." he paused, smirking just lightly. "Usually it works out."
So what if sometimes it led to a clash in personalities? It was still something. "They should be here any minute."
And like all good cliches, that, was when they walked in.
One, a female had skin studded with stars and had hair that shone like the milky way. She was distant, unapproachable as she frowned, arguing lightly with something her companion was saying. Dressed in a lab coat that seemed to cover too much, she paused, waving her hand in a distract fashion.
"Liset." he said, introducing her."
One was male, pale skin that seemed to glow the gentle hue of tempered sun, a yellow shade barely contained to soften its blow on the eyes. Darker hair, a shade of warm brown that was surprisingly human. And eyes that mismatched sky, one of a sunny blue and another of clouded white. He smiled, stepping forewords.
"Lucas." he said, nodding his head.
The two fae smiled. Night and day, and they nodded, arching a brow. This match was... well, perfect.
"Nice to meet you."
