That makes me angry, to be honest. If they're going to come to the US, why not just do thier own tour? They have to know by now that they have a huge fanbase here.
What also makes me mad is the Hot Topic thing. I found an issue of Cure magazine there and my friend was buying it for me. And I was telling Brian (my friend who works there) that I was excited cause one of my favorite bands, D, happened to be on the cover. And he was like, "Oh, is that that Dir en grey band?" and I got so annoyed. They aren't the only J-rock band out there!!! mad Japan has a lot of other (better) bands. Not just them. mad
(Sorry, I needed to rant somewhere)

Agreed, I actually stressed in the music forum (which made the thread go to Chatterbox) that Dir En Grey was coming to America and Hot Topic was sponsering them MONTHES ago. Did anyone believe me then? Hell no.

I was gonna go to the San Antonio show on August 4th. I was so excited about it, but then ticket prices went through the roof. So much for seeing Dir en Grey. It wouldn't have been bad to see Korn and Flyleaf either though. DEG's set was kindof dissapointing anyway, because they are the opening act, and are only getting about 12- 13 songs into their set..I think. I haven't checked since last month though. But supposedly they were only going to play for about 45 minutes. I did realize that on the family values tour website, DEG was the band getting the most hype of them all, which was nice. They were even winning over alot of Korn fans. heh

It's not their choice. It's their management's (Dynamite Tommy). If you have complaints, take it up with him. >/
