Bahamut. Bahamut is the Lord of the Summonings as according to Final Fantasy II (IV in Japan) It took a lot of well timed Jumps with Kain to defeat him in that, and I'm a true Bahamut fanatic as far as summons are concerned...
I'm just sad he isn't summonable in Finsl Fantasy XI crying but he is a god boss in FFXI smile

Much as I like the others I'm going with Shiva. Two reasons, she is in almost ever game, and the version of her in ten kicks Anima's butt everytime for me.

About Shiva, I don't really care for using her, although I cannot deny... In FFXI... |Frost Armor| |Do you need it?| |Yes, please.| |Ice Spikes| |Party|
When a character has Ice Spikes on, it gives Ice damage every time that character is hit, and also gives chance of inflicting paralysis on the one that hit the character... Frost Armor gives Ice Spikes to a whole party. Very useful, especially for the fact that Ice Spikes (the spell) is self-cast only. If a summoner (SMN) at level 28 or higher can summon Shiva, and she is out, they can do this for a mere 63 MP cost.
Also, if you are curious about the colored lines, that is me imitating the auto-translate function of FFXI. I am sure to only use words in those "|" that actually appear in that function... I sould probably use parenthesis for these, but i like my style razz
EDIT: I still think Bahamut is cooler mrgreen

Setzer__Gabbiani Nice, I've never played FFXI though, I'm not sure I want to buy a game and then pay to play it. I think it is worth it, but that is my opinion... It's more the updates you gotta worry about. On dial-up, to get updates all installed at this point (not including the most recent "Treasures of Aht Ur'ghan" expansion) took 33 hours total domokun

Despite it's crappy stats, Ifrit would have to be my favorite. His overdrive is kick-a**!

Anima's my favorite. It's cool she has a back story, and it's great using her to kick Seymour's butt. Talk about poetic justice...

Setzer__Gabbiani Yeah but I still kill her with Shiva every time I have to fight her. What, all of one time in the game, right?
By the time you acquire Anima in the game, she owns the other Aeons, with the exception of the Magus Sisters and possibly Bahamut. Plus, her stats aren't dependent on the powering up of a Celetial Weapon.
