well last satruday i was sparing with my friend
we use makeshift weapons
so he used a broomstick
i used a three section staff he made... which i couldn't use well
and well he came forward to hit me and ended up hitting my eye and scratching it up good x.<
Lesson Learned:1. dodge broomsticks that are coming for your face
2. Never use a three section staff... they are hard use
and 3. um.... oh ya never eat 3 boxes of drumstick ice cream in one day.... even if you cant do much else X.x

Owchies. o-< I've never sparred...but Lance has plenty of times. He once (back in Spring 2003) sparred hard enough to where he ended up breaking his hand yet kept going. He's not got a metal plate in his hand and a nice visable scar.
Lovely story, no?

I once sparred with my sister...I hit her in the face and she ran away and told on me...>.> I've never wanted to spar after my brother and I sparred so hard, both of us had bloody noses and blody knuckles. sweatdrop Not much of a pretty scene. sweatdrop

heh ya but when your me... you have sparred so many times that
you almost get your head cracked open
you could have lost your eye 3 times
and you hand could have been broken atleast once each time you fight
yet... i have never broken a bone or got severly injured
this is the first time i got something really bad
but not as bad as my other friend (who hates us now) who got his lip split open and had to get 6 stitches in his lip

Geez, sparring is intense.
When I was in elementary school this one girl was teaching me to fight with staffs, but I was like 6 so that doesnt count xp . I think I'll avoid sparring and be a peaceful hippy person. 3nodding

Dang it, you guys spar really tough!
When me and my friends do it, we always start out slowly, and from there we go faster. We try to avoid hurting eachother. Of course, there has been some minor accidents. Nothing major, we haven't had any bloodshed (sp?). I hit the back of my head pretty hard one time, with heavy headache as a result.

I feel like if I post my experiance here people will think I'm boasting and lying but here goes anyway:
1. I've had my face broken by a 60 year old 4th degree black belt (the belt was in Tae Known Do). I then later went on to win the fight because my youthful vigor stuck with me.
2. I've broken my hand in a spar with a friend of mine, and yes I did keep going but we ended in a tie because of time.
3. I've kicked a really tall guy in the head and in the process ripped my pants wide open and won through blinding him. twisted
4. I've fought a midget who tried to crawl between my legs when I was in the middle of power bombing him.
5. I've kendo/ boken fought with some people around my hometown when we formed the "Immortal Highlander Game" and I made it to the Quickening but only became ranked 8 of 40
6. (last one I swear) Got in a fight in the street and knocked out 5 other people on my own. When the cops showed up they said "Don't try and save the guys who helped you do this... give us the names." They didn't believe it was just me but I still got off self-defense when a witness said that he saw them jump me.

plus i know people that do crazy things like that so its not as far fetched as you thing

EDIT: Since we're on the topic of jumping, my friends brother, who is a rough tough bullrider from Texas got jumped in a bar a couple weeks ago because he was wearing a cowboy hat. He got jumped by these three guys and probably would've been able to massacre them all (I've met him, and he seriously could on brawn alone) except he got sucker-punched in the back of the head and was down for the count. Which leads me to applaud you Lance for your 5:1 victory. IF it was true.... o.O! Hah, no, I believe you 3nodding .

Thank you for the applaud. Though I don't really deserve it, I've actually calmed down a lot recently and don't get into as many scraps as I used to. And on the subject of sucker punches, that sucks. Did your friend's brother have any lasting damage?

As far as I know, just a black eye and a headache. They actually clocked him in the eye and he went down. When he got back up, they hit him in the head again and he said he blacked out for a second or two. Then when he got up the second time, thats when they got him from behind.
