FAAFN Guild is born! ^_^
I am accepting five Crew Members, or Mods. Three spots are taken, two more remain. The three taken spots are: King Neb the 2nd, Permanent Crew; ShadoKiller, Probationary Crew; avatarcentral, Probationary Crew. Each new Crew Member goes on Probation for two weeks. If they are good Crew, they become permanent. If they are not, they are dismissed and a new Crew Spot will be open.
I will be inviting artists soon. I hope this turns out as good as I feel it will! ^_^ *crosses fingers*
Aitaijini461 is now a Probationary Crew Member! ^_^ Only one more Mod position is left open now.

The final spot for guild Crew has been filled by Atlmiar Zero. ^_^
I've announced the new guild in the FAAFN Thread and am working on getting all the artists over here A.S.A.P. 3nodding
Omg. I mean really. OMFG! 11:48 PM and I've finally contacted every artist on the thread. I am now going to bed because I am dog tired. Tomorrow morning I'll answer PMs, send invites, and update the Artist Directory. ^_^ Goodnight.

Okay, as of right now, every artist that has a thread is represented in the Artist Directory. If you are an artist and a member and your face isn't in the Directory, then it's 'cause you need to make a thread. So go make a thread. Right now. Shoo.
The Mighty King Neb has posted something in the Artist Directory that everyone needs to read. I put my little red stamp of approval on it, so keep up with it. If you are not in HIATUS you need to keep up with your posts weekly. If you can't PM me or Neb or another Mod, just let us know so we can understand your situation an' stuff an', well... You know... Do something about it or keep it in mind or something... whee

As of right now, 6:07 pm, every artist that has a thread has a face in the Directory.
ShadoKiller and Articubone will be working on a thread that lists reccomended newbies to draw. Artists aren't required to draw the people that will be on that list, it'll be more like a helpful thing if you don't have time to really hang out and get to know a newbie. PM them if you have reccomendations for the list. Girls, make the thread whenever you're ready.

Today, I did nothing. I stayed after school for JROTC, took the activity bus home, got home around 6:30, took a shower, ate dinner, did my homework, talked to my boyfriend on the phone, and really had no time for vous today. I'm sorry.
Since I have JROTC after school everyday except for Friday and days when we get rained out (damn hurricane weather!), I more than likely won't be able to update during the week. If any of you Mods wanna make pictures of the artists and put them in the directory, be my guest. Don't hafta, but if ya' wanna. ^_^
I'll update the Artist Directory myself probably Friday. 'Til then, have fun and play nice. ^_^
Oh yeah, and Articubone has set up the Newbie List. Yay! ^_^ Go check it out! :glare:

I updated the Artist Directory, changing the pictures and adding a few more. Now, there's a nice little mouse-over feature where you read their name. I'm proud of it.
Those who are official mods have light blue gaia colored backgrounds in their pictures. (except me and Neb, gotta fix that) Those who still have grey, probationary type backgrounds, sorry dudes, had to extend the period to past two weeks since I can't really keep that much track of everything. The two who are official showed me they were doing their job (picking up my slack xp )... Sooo... I'm still deciding on the other two. Meh.
Other than that, it's 11, I'm tired, and I probably won't be going anywhere this weekend, so I'll update tomorrow. 3nodding

I added more people to the Artist Directory. I think it's going well. Everyone on the list in the FAAFN Thread has been deleted off the thread, regarded as either a member of the guild or inactive.
I've posted the reward for the winner of the banner contest: 500g. 100g will go to the runner-up, and I am building a pot to divide amonst the people who donate smaller, signature banners. It is currently 400g.
I have to go to work now. If things go well, I'll be home around 6:30 where I can keep doing things. If things go bad, Hurricane Jeanne will hit Jacksonville and I die. Just kidding. If worse comes to worst, I just won't be able to post for the rest of the weekend. sad

A notice for you all (Although most of you already know):
With a new job and an increase in a social life, I'll not be on as much as I once was. I'll still be online enough to mod this place, but chances are that it'll only be during (somewhat) normal hours for my timezone....which means no more staying up all night and sleeping all day just to coincide with the more popular times that people are active for... sweatdrop

About Requesting to join:
First thing to note is that we all have lives outside of Gaia, so don't be suprised if it takes a while to have your request approved or denied (Which is why it's taken me a while to sort through the latest batch of requests.... sweatdrop ).
Another thing is that while a person may have been denied from joining, it doesn't mean that they're not welcome here. The FAAFN is open to all, and we enjoy having many people around. If you have been denied membership, most likely it has something to do with the reason as to why you want to join. A person who says "i like art" or "i am new" is not likely to be accepted. While we all like art, and we were all new once, you should at least try and be interesting or original. A person who says "I am a new person to Gaia, and I would like to get to know people. I like to draw, and I think avatar art is cool" is more likely to be accepted. Their reason is pretty much the same as the other two examples, but they're polite and put more thought into it than the others.
But other than that, have fun ^_^

Wow. I've been gone for a long, long while. Currently, I've been trying to transfer Captainship over to Nebby. xp Not doing so well. Heh. Tryin' though. Gettin' there. That's the plan.

Nebby is gone. *bows head in moment of silence* ... Due to RL problems he has made the decision to leave gaia. He may be back someday, and for that, we will all keep an open place in our hearts, always awaiting our dear Nebby's return! heart
In other news, me computer crashed. I have a virus that won't allow to computer to start up, so right now I am using my dad's computer. Feel special, I caught his cold/sore throat/sickness/disease/uncleanlyness for this stupid computer. But since he's usually in bed by nine, and I'm being forced to work into late hours of the night with work and school, I won't get much time on Gaia until dad fixes my own computer. This is just a heads up. And crew, please keep things going smoothly while I'm having these difficulties.

Okay people, listen up. This has to be important if I'm using this account.
FAAFN version 2 is now a member and crewmember of the guild. Teekz, Riona, Jeane, Centy and I all have the password for it, which means that if one or more of us goes offline for a length of time like MWashu did, our bases are covered. Props to Rio for the idea 3nodding
Also, if they werent already, I made their normal usernames crewmembers, just for that little touch of personality that comes with it.

Well this is my first big thing as mod, I'm going to try to whip this guild back into shape, it's been dead for way too long. The FAAFN thread and guild are suppose to go hand in hand, but the simple fact is, while the thread has flourished, the guild has only decreased in activity. recently only seeing on or 2 posts a week, and this is not good (obviously)
Anyway, I will be doing some clean up and start keeping the nice newbies list ans Artist directory updated among other things to try to get this place on it's feet, anyone that considers helping, thank you very much 3nodding

Even though there's absolutely no reason for it, the mods say that everyone wants the mule to have ownership of the guild. The only thing that the Guild Captain can do that crew can't is just promote or demote people to or from crew status.
I've kept King Neb the 2nd as Vice-Captain.
Also, King Nebuchadnezzar will be part of the regular co-owners of the FAAFN again.
