Go you! That's kind of my position right now. I've made our 11 member rifle line for now, out of like 52 girls or so and I've got to keep defending my spot. There are upperclass men who would love to push me out of my spot. But I'm so excited that I'm going to be in a decent spot most of the show.

First year rifle liner and all-over guard spinner! (Although I was in Winterguard!)

I'm a freshman and a newbie for outdoor guard, which is almost completely unheard of in our school's history. I'm the only freshman and I'm so happy. My instructor kept putting it off until band camp, then they handed me the drill, and told me I was on rifle. Scariest thing is- I have the heaviest rifle in our line. It's only the school's 2nd year of rifle line....

I'm really upset right now! We just got new sabres and all, which is cool, since they're the Excaliber model and really nice; but we don't get new rifles till possible next fall because the sabres cost so much. The rifles on the field now are from last winter, last fall, and some are older than that. They look so bad.

But it's ok, cause my rifle now is pretty heavy and it's makin me a lot stronger. I'm throwing fives as a soph and close to throwing a six. Plus I'm on sabre line and throwing quads and fives on that.

I was on Rifle Line for 3 years, because I was pretty suckish my freshman year.
I was on Sabre for 4 years expect we didin't really do much Sabre my senior year which sucks because it's my favorite equipment.

I still spin alittle now but this is my 2nd year out of school so I haven't really done much hardcore stuff lately. But I'm going into boot camp soon for the Navy and Maybe after I'm outta of the Navy sometime I can get a teaching position after I retrain myself.

Yes. I finally made the stinking rifle line. In my 3rd-to-last season on high school guard (say it isn't so!!!), my director finally put me on the line. And how long have I been trying out? Oh, yeah - since the beginning. rolleyes
My 5s have gotten good, so I think I'll work up to 6s. 3nodding
