Kids today, especially the younger siblings, seemed like spoiled little brats. Now dont get me wrong, I dont think all kids are like this, just it seems a lot of them are. They complain when they dont get the new video game or gaming system they complain and rant at their parents when they already have like three other gaming systesm and fifty other games. Now i dont mean asking a couple times here nad there and offering to do chores, I mean down right demanding
I think it is sad how kids today seem to think they can do anything and get everything without doing nothing!. Really it is kind of sad.
So do you think kids today seem spoiled, or at least a lot of them?

i have to agree with that. i'm not sure how most families are but ive seen it with my cousins. they spoil their children so much. all the kids have to do is show a few tears and the parents come running. although i cant say i completely blame these children for being spoil. its partially the parents fault as well catering to their children's every whim which eventually makes them spoiled.

I will have to agree 100% with this issue. Our generation is called "the generation of brats." What most people seem to forget is self-discipline. Most kids nowadays usually brag, nag, or irritate to their parents just to get anything, for example, a cellphone. But once that whim has been satisfied or something bigger and better comes out on the market, the kids MUST have it or they NEED it.
In the 1940's, when hardship was around and WWII was going on, people put aside their differences and helped pitch for the war effort. One story was that a bunch of kids representing a school decided to eat beans for an entire year and send all of their school food to the soldiers fighting in the war. Try getting the kids to give up their food and they will throw a fit.
What I'm saying is that people have forgotten these values. If these values were still around, we wouldn't have so much problems in the world. It's amazing that our generation doesn't give a damn to make an effort today. It's impossible to request anything from our generation without having complaints over the littlest of things.
(Side note: Me, Eevee, and Ziddeth aren't bratty. We have never been spoiled before. We wouldn't mind, but we won't take advantage of it like most people do nowadays.)

So do you think kids today seem spoiled, or at least a lot of them? Yes, most of them are. I am not a spoiled little brat. But Im spoiled. thats because I have no siblings. But my mom taught me how to behave. When I used to want somethng, i couldnt always have that, and my mom taugt me that. And now since my moms married((to my real dad) Im spoiled even more .I dont say I NEED that. I dont get everything I want. My parents just seldomly buy me a gift. Really I have to do alot of chores around the house. And fr that I get allowance. I have to buy wat I want, with my own money, alot of the times. And thats how kids should be. But now that m mom is having a baby, Im not gonna be spoiled anymore. xp

When we lived with our dad, *our parents are divorced*, we used to get allowances, but for some reason, he decided not to do that.
Now we live with our mom. We have learned self-discipline, respect, and control over the things we want. It's usually rare to get something we want in our house nowadays. But I'm fine with it. smile

Just as long as you have self-control and don't act like a brat when you don't get what you want, you're ok.
I miss allowances. scream

i wouldnt consider myself spoiled rotten (as i do household chores on clean up days)... but one of the kids i was staying with was extremely spoiled, and took advantage of it stare however, i wouldnt say that all the kids of today are spoiled, since some arent, but they do have life easier than when some of their great great great great grandparents had it when they were young.

When you hear a senior tell you that your life is easy, it's true. They didn't have the luxuries of today. There was a war and they pitched in for the effort. Kids helped rally other people to support troops. If we tried doing that today, our kids would do it to miss school and don't even know what they're doing.
