It looks like any old plateau, possibly even more boring so than the others. However, if you have the patience to climb or fly up the sheer cliffs, you come to see the top is almost like any other plateaus, dotted with trees raising their branches towards the sky, once you get past the tons of sand pits everywhere.

The sand pits came from a large dust storm that is not worth the history lesson and you'll thank me for not going into detail about. The sand pits are always hot, enough so to keep any eggs alive. Thus it is wise to bring eggs here and allow them to incubate. However, unless the Wyrm itself clutches up here, it would take a bit to get the entire clutch up the cliffs.

((If this is out of line, please forgive me.))

Somewhere up on the plateau a solitary wind egg lay still, braving against the elements.

Upon one of the sand pits beside the solitary egg, a boy stared intently at the lightning imprinted upon the shell. The small creature inside had, by some odd chances, announced his name some time earlier and Delame had scarce noticed anything else since.

Thor didn't roll, didn't bounce, just merely wobbled every once in a while. Delame had allowed his dark blue eyes to concentrate on the shell, as if that might help Thor to hatch.

However, a wind Wyrm currently nearby had different thoughts about Thor. If Delame even tried to bond to the egg, Tempest swore he'd find a way to get Atalanta up here to tear him apart with her claws. Tempest rode on the air currents, allowing his wings to carry him wherever the heck Nature wanted him to go. However, that turnedout to be the other way, back towards his bonded. I wish you'd stop looking at that egg. Thor can't bond to you.

Delame looked up, brushing black hair out of his vision, I'm watching over it. You know, since it has no mother.

Tempest rolled his eyes, landing on a nearby pit. However, as soon a shis body sulked against the sands, he noticed that there seemed to be some pressure pushing against his tail. He looked back, spotting the other egg.

Venthyr lay curled beside a sand pit, lazily admiring the sapphire blue sky as he absorbed the sun's rays. He sighed contentedly, dragging his mace-like tail back and forth across the sandy ground. His bonded, a young man of eighteen or so, leaned against the wyrm's rock-hard hide, absently tossing pebbles into a nearby pit.

:"Wow... you're quiet today... that's a first,": rumbled Ven, as most called him, into his companion's mind.

:"Hah! You should talk! It's a wonder your jaw doesn't run right out of your skull.":

The wyrm harrumphed at this. :"Humph. Very funny, Jorge.":

:"Mmm hmmmm. I know I am,": quipped the human, flinging another small stone into the pit and watching it slowly sink into the depths.

With a roll of the eyes, Ven laid his massive head on a nearby stone, relishing its warmth.

Come on, little ones.... time to leave the sand. There are other places to explore... Xyleea hinted gently, trying to nose her son and Alinta out of the sand pit and onto her back. We're going to go see Daddy. How does that sound?

Nooooo!Alinta wailed, clinging desparately to a sun-warmed rock. I don't wanna go! It's sunny here!

Thrynor, however, had none of the light hatchling's concerns and slithered right over to take a seat on his mother's head. Yeah! Daddy! Daddy! he said, too eager to voice much else.

But I don't wanna fly!!! Alinta's cries continued, her grip on the rock tightening. It's scary out there!

"They're being reticent, aren't they?" Aliscia asked mildly from her seat on the edge of the sand pit. The young woman tossed a few strands of blond hair from her eyes, watching the scene unfold.

Screeches echoed above as the twins, both in half-form, swooped down and backwinged to land in the sand near their companion wyrms. Raveo went instantly to Xyleea's head to have a private chat with Thrynor. The twelve-year-old lycan had bonded instantly, and they'd gotten along quite nicely from the start, particularly with the lycan's free spirit and fiery temper providing a nice accent to Thrynor's own duality.

Ravea was just as perfectly suited to Alinta with her warm happiness, though the flight-loving lycan was not as phobic as her companion of heights. "Come on, Alinta... the ground is down there. I promise; once we go down, we don't have to come back up, okay?" she suggested, trying to loosen Alinta's hold.

Nooooo! Don't wanna! Alinta wailed anew, trembling and gripping the rock despite Ravea's reassurances.

A boy climbed the steep plateau, stopping ever so often to sweep his long chocolate hair out of his eyes. One hand over the other, he told himself. Just a little bit more to the top...

((Bah, the colors are too difficult.))
Tempest left the egg, flashes of conversations entering his mind. He ignored them, used to having these things go on without himself being involved. He looked down, spotting some family having trouble with their nestlings. He'd be glad just to have Thor be gone, and Delame back to his old self. Hey, wasn't that Alinta's family? Blinking, he floated downwards, hovering gently above the bunch of Wyrms. Having troubles? he asked Thayne and Xyleea, careful not to startle them.

Thyra was the opposite of her brother and the small light Wyrm. She couldn't wait to go, and get out of Haku's care. The small Wyrm had writhed away from his coils yet again, trying... Trying to... She reached the edge of the plateau, flapping her wings. She could try... Try to... What on Ranothor?! There was a boy, climbing up just below her. He seemed to be having trouble getting up. She turned, calling out, Haku! Haku! Come help, please!
Haku had been enjoying one of a many long lounges in the sun when he heard Thyra's cry. He was at her side as quickly as his slender, sleek body would allow. He looked over the edge, sniffing. Humans. The unsettlers of all balance. What is it?

There's a boy, Haku! Help him, please.

Haku sighed, grabbing onto the ground with his feet. If Thyra wanted it, he'd have to do it before she tried it herself. Carefully, he allowed hsi upper claws to grab into the side of the cliff, climbing down until he had no more extra body left. He was still a few inches from the boy. He gramiced, typical. Need some help? He offered his horns to the boy.

((Sorry Lion. I couldn't think of a way to reply to your guys. ><))

The boy blinked, confused. "Huh? Oh, yeah, thanks." He swung one hand up to grab on of Haku's horns. Using the wall to brace himself, his other hand managed to grab the horn as well. "Ready when you are." He smiled at the Wyrm.

Haku looked at the boy between his horns, contemplating many things to do to him that might keep him away from the eggs on the plateau. However, he saw no evident point. He started to back up, tail lashing out, catching a tree as an anchor. The cracking noise in his ears didn't make him feelt much better, but he contunued to back up. Finally, Haku's front legs were on solid ground and not on the cliff. He turned his head, shaking his head until the boy would let go. There.

Thyra was thrilled by the new human. It was something new, something possibly dangerous. She crawled up to him, looking up. You smell weird, she stated bluntly. Indeed he did, but she couldn't place it. Watch this! She shouted happily, hoping he'd watch. Running for the nearest sand pit, jumping into it eagerly. Inhaling deeply she spouted flames on the flying snad grains, causing sparkles and small shards of glass to fall harmlessly to the sand with a 'thunk'.

The boy clapped. "Very nicely done!" He smiled. "And of course I do, I'm human. We all smell weird!" He nodded at the older wyrm. "Thanks by the way. I don't know how I'd have gotten up here without you."

Hearing a voice above her, Xyleea lifted her pale head to the sky, Thrynor humming a happy tune to himself as he clung more tightly to his mother between her eyes. Oh, Alinta is a little afraid of heights, poor baby. She'll be alright... I hope.

Aliscia chuckled lightly as Ravea attempted to coach the little light wyrm away from the rock and over to her surrogate mother. The young woman was in no position to assist the lycan girl as Alinta only answered to Ravea, but she still wished she could help in some way. She felt rather useless, though it was entertaining to watch.

Raveo, disgruntled that Thrynor had been lifted out of his reach, took off to hover beside Xyleea's head, petting his bonded lightly as he did. He gave the approaching wind wyrm a dark look and then ignored it, too intent on the little hybrid before him.

Noooo! Alintanowannagotooscaredtogodon'tmakeAlintago! Alinta said with another piteous wail of fear, clinging tightly to her rock as she babbled incoherent nonsense. Ravea stroked her lightly, trying to relax the little wyrm enough to pry her off the rock. ~~It's alright, Alinta... we're just going down for a tiny short flight... you can do it!~~she said encouragingly.

-Start of new Roleplay-

Twitch. Twitchtwitch. That is what Sapheria's eye kept doing. This blazing heat.. Sand was /not/ on her favorites list. She let out a sigh, Ice blue eyes casting over to Altan. He, on the otherhand, was having a good time. His long, pearl-white talons dug slightly into the sand and were spread to prevent sinking into the sand. His tail swished in the sand, making snake-like trails after him. ~If you don't hurry, I'll leave you behind.~ Sapheria stuck her tongue out at the Fire Wyrm. "I highly doubt you'd do that." ~Yeah.. your right. But still, hurry.~ "Whatcha in a hurry for?" He didn't answer, just kept his own Ice-Blue gaze infront of him.

Overhead, a red figure soared. Midday, the skies and sand beneath her belonged to her! Haku had found his own human some time ago, gone off with her. Thyra kept in touch with him every once in a while. Mainly, her concern was for the male humaoid creature on her back. His legs dangled in front of her wings, her powerful muscles thrusting against his legs. His hands were fastened fast on her horns. Suddenly, a brass colored figure below caught her eyes. A small thrum caught in her throat. He's cute! she commented to Toran, making her bond look down. Indeed, there was a Wyrm. However, Toran squeaked, clinging to Thyra. Scare dof heights. Thyra rolled her eyes, spiraling down towards the cute Fire Wyrm.

Altan stopped, making his bonded stop with curiousity. The tip of his tail twitched as he raised his head skyward. Icy blue eyes locked onto the Flame-colored Fire Wyrm. Sapheria raised her gaze skyward, also; looking at her before lowering her gaze to wipe the water away. Her eyes watering because of the brightness of the sky. Altan lowered his head, resting it on-top of hers. ~Your eyes hurt?~ "Yeah.. Little bit. They'll be okay." She replied, wiing her eyes and blinking. ~Don't look at the sun, it'll prevent it.~
