For this exercise you need another public place, similar to the one you were in for exercise one. You again will need a piece of paper and a pen (it’s good to carry a pad of paper solely for magic exercises like I do, seeing as I tend to do a lot of my work in public). This time, you must also relax and follow your breathing pattern. When you’ve done this, look leisurely around where you are and write down all the things standing out to you – colors, objects (such as cups, spoons, etc.) or even people.
When you’ve done this, you can make it into a sort of table if you wish such as this one:
Cup - Spoon
Red - Blue
Waiter - Customer
It is good to organize it so that they counteract each other, sort of opposites that work together, though this is not necessary. This is called a Table of Correspondences. It is used to show the masculine and feminine of things, which are necessary to combine to create a whole. Though it is a small and simple task, even mixing coffee and sugar is considered an act of magic (combining a masculine and feminine symbol).
When you’ve done this, please post your table or if you can’t make it into a table or have one piece that doesn’t fit, just post what you have written. After this you may move on to Exercise three in the same subforum.
