Gameplay: Basically, it is exactly the same as the first installment. Except (of course) Naughty Dog gave us something new. We get guns, cars, and a Jet-Board! It keeps to the same platforming base that the first game went off of and it turned out great! The guns... You get four! Although there is no more Eco except for green and Dark, it is fine... The guns range from one that uses Red Eco, called The Scatter Gun, it has a wide range of fire and is alot like a shot gun, because it doesn't go that far.
The next uses Yellow Eco and is called The Blaster, it is a straight up medium range weapon that is very useful. The third uses Blue Eco, and is called The Vulcan Fury, it is an automatic gun that fires very fast and is very fun to use. The last is awesome! It uses Dark Eco and is called The Peace Maker. It fires a big ball of electricity that spreads out and kill all of the enemies in range! Very fun! The vehicles are fun also, the game gets a new GTA twist, you get a new map and vehicles at your disposal at any moment! Then there's the Jet-Board! It's basically just a substitute for when you have nothing else to ride on, it's very fun! Now, here's where Dark Eco comes into play! After the 2 years you spend in prison, you get new powers! They change you into a creature known as Dark Jak... You colloect Dark Eco and then you use it to unleash your fury in a wave of devastating attacks. Jak gets all grey skinned and his hair turns dark grey, he even grows long black nails and big horns on his head! Very nice touch! 10/10!

Music: The music fits well with the levels and is pleasing to the ears. And when the town is on alert it even plays music to help alert you. 9/10!

Graphics/Visuals: The graphics definitely stepped up a notch! Lots of more pretty colors! I think they still use in-game graphics for cutscenes but it still looks awesome! 9/10!

Other Attributes: Let me see, we get guns, cars, a Jet-Board, and Dark Jak! They also added something awesome! There's s specials menu where you can buy cheats, such as unlimited health, Dark Eco, and ammo, this is freaking awesome! 10/10!

Story: After their adventures in J&D: TPL, Jak, Daxter, Samos, & Kiera found a thing called a "Rift-Gate" they moved it to Samos' hut where they tried to figure out what it was for. One thign led to another and they were sent through the rift-gate, and into another world, their world, the future! Once there, Jak is captured by the evil ruler of the town that they are in, Baron Praxis, ruler of Haven city... The Baron experimented on him for 2 years with Dark Eco... After 2 years Daxter finally managed to get Jak out of that prison. Once out, Jak wants to get revenge on the Baron and to do so, he joins a group called the Underground! So eventually Jak meets up with his buddies during the time where things are getting really heated between creatures called Metal-Heads and Haven city. Without spoiling anything, you end up finding out about a whole big part of Jak's destiny and you save the world from Baron Praxis and the Metal-Head Leader. 10/10!

Compared Previous Installments: They definitely made the game better, funner, and just damn well sweeter! 10/10!

Summary: This game stays true to the platforming base where it was born and it adds some new things, like guns, vehicles, and a new free roaming mission type of gameplay.

Overall Score: 9.5 out of 10!
