Example of Rules and Role Play

There is a forest, an enchanted forest on the edge of the continent that was not part of the kingdom. It was ruled by no one, though there were rumours that the forest itself was the ruler. It is said that everyone who entered the forest had to pass a test before they were let out again. Still many enter the mist for their own reasons.

Laima's forest was named after the Goddess of Luck and Fate. It wasn't officially named, the Main Entrance - a wooden board supported by two tall posts says so in its carved letters. The forest is always shrouded by mist, though the thickness and height varies day by day.

Many creatures roam in the forest, both known and unknown. The creatures are all controlled by the forest it seems.

Why I made this Role Play
Example of Rules and Role Play

-Do not create profiles

-Understand that I myself (fiery_morning) will not participate in this roleplay besides being the forest itself

-Understand that there will be no power play, god modding or anything that is unfair, I myself am the forest and all its creatures so no one but me can control my "characters"

-To enter this forest the person will have to PM me with the answers to the questions

-All characters will have to stick to their personalities to the best of the player's abilities

-I will reply with a profile to PMs of answers, the player will post the profile without changes into the Profiles thread.

-Please start away from each other and have an introduction post and not jump into each other. If you want (I doubt) I can do an introduction post and give you a feel of your character.

-Refrain from doing one liners

-Any exploring will require the Forest to be present and guide players around. Much like a MUD

-Remember no god modding.

-Rules are subject to changes

Example of Rules and Role Play

Some may wonder why I am doing this. So here is my answer:

I am doing this as I think it will be fun, if not dark. This Forest reflects on our lives as we are thrown into this world without any choice. We bump into others who are totally different and some who are similar, we make friends or enemies. Our lifes are lead by our environment or Fate. So this roleplay is like this. Hehe, it is a MUD. 3nodding

Note: This is very rough and has a few lines but nevertheless it will give the feeling through. You could say this is my character neutral *Snigger*

Profile for FireStar:
Name: FireStar
Age: 20
Race: Half Demon and Human
Appearance: FireStar has rust red hair to her waist left undone most of the time. She has flame coloured eyes, pointed ears and can grow black wings. She wears red and orange travelling clothes: A orange bolero, red long sleeved shirt and dull red pants which are tight.
Personality: She is arrogant and believes she can do anything. She thinks of herself before others. FireStar tends to live things on the wild side.
Bio: She was left abandoned before being raised by a villager who felt pity for her. When FireStar found out she ran away and lived for herself. When she was 16 she decided to become a mercenary.
Weapons: Nails, Teeth, Long sword and limited destructive magic.

Forest(Intro Post, Forest will control the character for a bit before letting the player take hold):

FireStar strode down the small track to the Main Entrance of Laima's Forest. Mist stirred beneath her feet as she walked.

There she thought as the wooden sign appeared.

Laima's Forest was what was carved into the deep wood, some rags were nailed into the wood in the posts. The rags fluttered in the breeze. They looked like they used to be colourful and bright, but now dull and blood stained. A crow cawed in the distance.

If FireStar continued on through the Main Entrance and stayed on the main path out of 3 paths she would be heading deeper into the heart of the forest. The main path was wide and well worn, the right one was narrower and slightly more uneven and the left was just noticeable.

FireStar:

Feh, What is so special and creepy about this forest? she thought as she read the sign. If she had paid closer attention she would have noticed the rags fluttering in the breeze and the caw of the crow as she walked in.

FireStar noticed the 3 paths and decided to take the left route. She dislike being the same as everyone else and the left route was the least travelled. She was here to dispel rumours and to her it didn't matter which one she took. FireStar warmed herself by putting off a slight spell around herself.

Forest

As FireStar took the left route the path she can see through the edge of the forest into a thick fog. There was a right turn ahead of her to a small clearing filled with rocks and a wall of rubble at the end of the path. It was terribly cold and FireStar's spell encouraged the atmosphere to grow freezing. The air was still. A growl erupted from the rocks as FireStar approached the territory. The route was an animal track and not a path. Strange creatures that looked like foxes yet were larger emerged.

FireStar:

FireStar cursed the coldness and fired up even more. Turning the corner she frowned at the rocks ahead of her and extended her wings, wincing as her clothing tore and from the sudden pain of the transformation. She bent down then lept to take off. FireStar would not give up and she powered her spell more and beat her wings harder. Realising she would get no where she pushed through the top of the rubble as she landed. It sapped strength from her and when she was through she was irritated. She snarled when she saw the fox creatures and lunged at them, claws extended. FireStar was too proud to turn back and take a different route.

Forest:

The fox creatures chattered their amusement as they dodged, as quick as their distant cousins. The heating spell caused grey snow to drift from above and ice to form on the rocks. The foxes grinned as their coats were thick enough and watched for FireStar's reaction. A beating of wings could be heard faintly in the distance, coming closer.

FireStar:

FireStar did not hear the beating of wings but felt it go colder. She growled and balled up a great amount fire power in her hands and threw them at the foxes. At that she lunged forward shivering with cold and to the edge of the clearing.

Forest:

The fox creatures' fur was slightly singed as they dived for cover, watching and laughing at FireStar from their burrows. Past their clearing was a long rutted and steep path downwards, it was dark and there was not light. The Sun had not penetrated through the cover since FireStar came in the forest. The path led to the edge of the cliff where a clearing was. At the clearing the flock of crows waited, black eyes glittering. A crescent moon was high in the sky and the night sky filled with clouds and stars were there. Grey snow covered the ground and the sparse grass.

FireStar:

FireStar stumbled out of the clearing and rubbed her eyes before continuing down the path. She lit a fire in her hands and still mantaining her composure and continued on. When she reached the clearing she sank down, shivering from the cold, lack of cover and clothing. FireStar did not see the quiet waiting crows which blended in with the night time sky.

Forest:

A crow cawed, another replied and soon it seemed a council was held. Then with a flutter the lead crow flew down next to FireStar, its intent clear in its hungry eyes. It called once and the whole flock dived down to claim its prey.

FireStar:

FireStar watched the lead crow and let out a shuddering sigh. She looked up at the horde and lowered her head in defeat. As the leader cawed she lifted her head high and whispered "I was wrong, I was wrong all my life and now I face my fate. I failed. So be it."
