Tarot is something that takes both practice and patience to do.
Like any other form of future telling, it can be done alone or with two or more people. It does not always take memorizing to use tarot cards, but it does help. I still use reference notes for tarot because I don’t trust myself to remember 22 cards and 4 minor arcana suits, each with 14 cards to it.
There are many different spreads that can be used for tarot, and I prefer more precise and basic ones. I generally use the same spread each time. The other thing about tarot is that it depends on whether it’s positive or negative that affects what the card means. When you shuffle your deck of tarot cards, you are supposed to first scatter them and so they are both right-side up and vice-versia when you put them in the deck. If they come up in the spread as upside-down then they are counted as negative, if they are right-side up then they are positive.
In the next post, I will show you what all the major cards mean. After that I will do all the minor arcana suits in separate posts (suit of swords, suit of cups, suit of wands and suit of pentacles.). After all that is posted, I will then post different spreads, starting with the one I use most often (the basic-defined spread).
I urge you all to get tarot cards, for they are very resourceful and helpful as well as fun to do. It is not necessary to have them, but like many other magical things, they are good to have.
