At the beach some distance from the park is a small soccer and volley ball square. Alittle ways doen the beach is a small beachouse with boat and paddle rentals complete with a mini boardwalk that all the young couples like to walk
Tomoko sat on the seashore, a light breeze blowing softly through her long hair. She took off her shoes and dipped her toes in the water as she layed down on the sand.
"And why are we here again?" Hazuki, Tomoko's new (slightly rude) guardian asked as she appeared from Tomoko's purse
tomoko sighed and said, "This is one of my thinking places. It's also so much fun to relax. you should relax to, Hazuki." Hazuki scrunched up her perfect fairy nose and said, "I rather go and relax some place a bit more fancy."

Some distance away, although within eyesight, from Tomoko sat a black-haired, green eyed girl, staring out at the waves as if in deep thought. She did not even notice Tomoko and Hazuki, probably because she was so wrapped up with whatever she was thinking about.

"Tomoko!" Hazuki whispered loudly while grabbing her master's finger, "There's a girl!! Who is that?"
Tomoko looked up from her tiny fairy to notice someone she hadn't met before. Hazuki vanished as Tomoko stood up and walked over. "Hello there, have we met before?" Tomoko asked standing over the girl

The girl blinked when she heard a female voice, turning to Tomoko in surprise. She shook her head in response to her question, remaining silent.

Tomoko stayed silent a moment, feeling something strange from the girl. She stayed quiet a little while longer before asking, "May I ask who you might be?"

This time the girl decided to speak.
"...My name is Keimei Hawking. I recently moved here from America, if you wish to know," she informed after a few moment's silence.

Tomoko put on a friendly smile and said, "My name is Tomoko Mizuhara, I haven't met a person that moved to Japan from America yet. It's very nice to meet you." She sat down becided Keimei and asked, "So what brings you to the beach today?"

"Escaping the torment of the overprotective monster known as my mother..." was Keimei's response, sighing. "She doesn't like it when I leave the house without her constantly hovering around me, unless I'm going to school...I swear, she must think that I'm a five year old kid or something."

"So I'm guessing that's a bad thing?" Tomoko asked, confused since her parents died when she was very young. "Parents...just want to protect their young. Your mother is just wanting to watch over you and she doesn't want to bear with the fact that her little girl is growing up. Of course, you can't trust me with that advice, since my parents died years ago."

"It's a bad thing," Keimei informed. "Otou-san divorsed my mom when I was five, and a year later we got news that he died. Okaa-san was traumatised big time, and keeps on seeing me as a five year old."
When she heard the last part of Tomoko's notice and possible advise, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Both of 'em?" she asked. "Oh, I'm sorry...I guess I shouldn't have brought okaa-san up, then...I guess I'm lucky that I even have one parent, even if she is a bit...not all there in the head..."

"Oh no! It's allright, they weren't great parents anyway," Tomoko said, "Well, maybe you and your mother will find something you both appriciate and learn to be friends," She laughed and apologized, "My mistake, I'm sort of...rambling, as you would say."

Keimei smiled a little bit.
"It's alright; I don't find it rambling at all," she informed.
((Quick question: are cards allowed to attack here? Or is this a sort of relaxation thread?))

((yeah, they are. it doesn't really matter where you are, cards can be use wherever))
Tomoko smiled and said, "Just promise me you'll-" Tomoko stopped as she felt a pulse of magic. She shook her head and said, "you'll talk to your mom about how she's treating you."

"I've already tried; I suggested to her multiple times that she should go and see a psychiatrist or somebody like that about it but-" Keimei started, shaking her head as she closed her eyes...
...until she felt a large pulse of magic nearby. Her eyes snapped open, turning behind her as she finished her sentence.
"-she won't listen to me."
The girl stood up, knowing that something was close. Something rather familiar...
"Something's close..." she noted.

Hazuki appeared as a voice in Tomoko's head. "I think she senses you, be on your guard," Hazuki said in Tomoko's head. Tomoko nodded and kept her hand close to her watch in case anything should happen.
