Okay. Everyone (should) know that C-1, C-2 outbreaks are dangerous. Yet require minimal flight. So what about C-3, C-4 outbreaks? Traveling is most possibly a must. But how to make travel safe? The ZSG covers it, I'm just here to clarify.
- Small groups are best. Each person has expertise in something.
- The group must stay strong and fit. If they can't keep up with the group, they might as well be dead.
-Silent weapons are the best. Don't need to attract any hordes.
-At night (or whenever rest is needed!) have someone on watch. Get light sleep, don't fall into a deep one.
-Have at least adequete amount of supplies, cause if you run out, you might as well be dead.
There's a lot more advice, I'm just not gonna post them. Any questions that have not been answered, post them and I'll give you an answer.
((This is not a guide, just advice.))

Hmmm. Thank you for that bit of information. ^^ It was a great addition to the thread, only it's in the wrong forum. it goes under 'Zombie Knowledge' I'm moving the topic there.

I've got a question: Ok so we've all seen Dawn of the Dead. Their strategy was to ditch the shopping mall and make it to an island out on the lake. But as they travelled there they were owned one by one, and then if you watch the credits you see them getting rushed by a group of hungry zombies. What did they do wrong and what should they have done? Personally I think they should've stayed in the mall where they were safe.

Yes... they should've stayed and kept a low profile... like not sniping zombies from the top of the building. They would've been able to keep in that mall untill things were under control for sure. What they did wrong was they stayed visible most the time... and they created ways to make zombies learn they're there. ((Making loud noises- bringing people into the building... ect.))

Yeah that does make sense. Also I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not but while we're on the subject of Dawn of the Dead...how should they have gotten that guy safely across the giant pack of zombies without risking themselves in the process? I think that they really shouldn't have attempted anything and instead of sending the dog in which risks a zombie following him, they should've just created some sort of slingshot and kept it calibrated so they wouldn't have to aim it each time and just send the guy sandwiches now and then. Of course once they start running low then he's on his own.

Well, after days of talking to the man across the street and playing chess and becoming friends, I would have done my best to get him some food, and yeah, I prob would made some sort of sling shot or transport line...with a basket. lol

Yeah. They were too noisy.
Though, of all places, why a mall? LEAST protective of all places. I would have gotten a silenced weapon, and sniped them. Keep in mind, this is a movie, so silencers work..
REALLY WELL. They make almost a.. Be-tewet. sound.
Some kind of rope thingy would have let them see the people. I would have, probably faught them all. Moltov Cocktail the gigantic hordes, and shot others.
I would have also Napalmed them (Yes, I know how to make it. Diesel fuel and soap)
and done other things to get rid of a bunch.
They had tons of ao, so it wouldn't have mattered if all zombies came to them. They were protected, and only so many zombies could be banging on the doors at a time, if they passed the gates.
I would have just put up one hell of a fight, and probably have killed them all.
Ofcourse, this is a movie. In reality, I would have stayed LOW, and screwed the guy.

Though, It seemed that afer a while, the zombies got bored. Like at the one part with the bus. Previously in the movie, zombies were banging on the door. Next thing you know, they went "Aww screw it. I'ma go get me some rat!" And left!

In Dawn of the Dead, they couldn't have stayed, because of the two, yes, TWO dead zombies in the building. I won't talk about it. sweatdrop

The big advantage of shopping malls is the variety of suppilies. All the 2x4s and quick dry cement is perfect for making immovabl barricades.
But unless you had a rather large group and the mall was zombieless and not looted chances re you either wont bother barricading or wont hve time before a hoard comes....

I dont know about a small group. Sure, maybe more supply consumption, but more people to find and carry supplies too. Oh sure, more people would attract more ttention, but more people to kill that attention.
Kinda evens things out.
