Comedy Central has resurrected the former Fox animated series from "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. At least 13 new episodes of Futurama will be produced -- the first since the series' original run from 1999-2003.
The new batch is part of a deal the cable network made with 20th Century Fox Television last year to pick up syndicated rights to the existing "Futurama" library of 72 episodes. Comedy Central also had an option to air any new episodes produced.

New and old episodes will begin airing in 2008 on Comedy Central. Actors Billy West, Katey Sagal and John DiMaggio have agreed to return as voices for "Futurama."

Here's my only concern- besides South Park, can anyone name any decent show that Comedy Central's had? I'm scared that CC's reputation is going to precede Futurama and people will come to the conclusion that it'll turn into a South Park clone. Which it won't, I know, I'm just saying that could happen.

dragonnick122 yeah, and theres a new character "nudar the nudist"...they shoulndent have screwed with futurama I'm fine with it as long as he isn't a new character working with them at Planet Express and just a one or two time episode like the evil Bender. I forgot his name! >__< He had like the devil beard and stuff.

I doubt it. Futurama has a big fan base who expect certain things from the series. The fans wouldn't allow for it to turn into a South Park clone.

Although I loathe the fact FOX didn't have the kahunas to bring it back onto their network, CC is...feasible enough. However, I'm only watching to support the show, not them in any way. The reason the animation looked different is because they're making a Futurama movie, which will be four parts, and those will be the episodes they'll show on TV, but the ones on TV will be slightly edited so they can stand as their own episodes, but still be a continuing story.
