With the piece of foam breaking off of the space shuttle during launch, and the crack in the protective foam, do you think that the space craft is safe?
Do you think it will have a safe return?
I hope so.
Personally, I wouldn't want to ride around in that old piece of crap. It's older than my car (1988 Honda Accord
sweatdrop ), and from the close-up I saw of the shuttle it doesn't look like it's in that good of a condition anymore. A tiny problem in the hull of the space shuttle could spell disaster.
The whole shuttle should be redesigned. Too bad the government keeps cutting their funding.
