Dorm room G1 is on the left from the enterance to the main dormitory. It has two dresssers, two desks, and a pair of twin murphy beds. A nondescript narrow door leads to the washroom.

The washroom consists of a single sink, toilet and combination shower-bathing tub. The whole thing is done in some sort of smooth or scalloped metal and close enough to reach each piece while using the another.

Mackenzie stepped into the room, and onto a piece of paper. Lifting her foot quickly she retrieved the somewhat dampened paper and was able to make out the indentations where someone had written 'clerical arts.' Sheepishly she realized this must've been a notice that she had a class. The one she'd missed. She set the books Jaycee had so graciously brought her on a dresser and tapped her foot.

The room was sparse, almost spartan in its setup, but on the other dresser, the one Raelin had briefly claimed the other night, she could hear a light discrepency. She'd investigate that later. Opening the bottom drawer in her dresser she removed bedclothes and a light robe. Her things weren't much, mostly handmedowns from Rae. Taptoeing her way to the washroom she set things down and set about bathing.

Once she was clean, Mackenzie toweled off, dressed and pinned her hair up with a slim wooden stick. That done, she cleaned her teeth as best she could and went back out into the bedroom.

Investigating the books first she danced her fingers over the spine and even began reading one page from the first aid book. This would be so much easier if you were reading this with someone else. Sighing, she closed the book and decided to talk to Rae later. No doubt this class was mandatory.

Finishing with that she walked over to figure out what was on Rae's dresser. What she found, was a piece of paper, and on that paper was a frightening message.

Mackenzie Dearling,

I'm so glad we found this school. It's going to be perfect for you, you'll learn so much from these people and you'll be so much safer as you do. I'm sorry but I can't take it here. It feels too much like a cage or a prison. I'll be back, come summer vacation I'll fetch you for some more practical application of you lessons. For now, I'll write, and send money when I can. See you next year.

Raelin

Mackenzie leaned against the panel that let the bed down and once it was there she twisted sideways to flop down on the bed, and for a while that's all she could do was lie there. She didn't dare think or she might understand, and if she understood. Dearling if you know this'll upset you than you already understand. Curling up on her side, she tried to clear her mind and thus keep her emotions blank.

((Well guys it's official. My roommate has left the rp. We worked out this exit so she might maintain an opening in the future, but she will not be attending school. Cherry it would probably be appropriate for her to have dropped off a letter applying for unenrollment and explaining her departure.))

She worked on her homework, writing down a basic summary of what she'd learned about her stone. Unfortunetely she didn't understand why any of the things she'd learned might apply to her. It only seemed more hopeless. A light in the dark? Good greif, there was no light for her. SHE WAS BLIND! Huffing in annoyance she stuffed the unfinished essay in her bookbag and went to bed, she'd finish it tomorrow morning before class.

Mackenzie woke up groggy sometime after nine. She washed, dressed, and stuck her hand out the window to check the weather. Hurriedly she withdrew it and shut the window. It was cold. Not storm cold but certainly cloudy all day-gonna blow cold. She changed into wool pants and grabbed her cloak. By now it was nearing ten and she went for breakfast. She stopped in front of the strange object her feet were echoing. Slowly she inched her foot forward sweeping it until it connected with the package. She knelt and began to unwrap the tablet. She was halfway through reading the letter with the tablet sitting on her lap when she was yanked sideways.
