The place is a forest. There is no set time (date). Any kind of character can join, and it doesn't have to be specific. Start! The sunlight filtered through the trees, giving the foliage below a leopard spotted look. The day creatures in the woods crept back into their sanctuaries as the sun slowly set. The nightly creatures flitted and creeped out of their daily hiding places into the dusk. Amid the usual hustle and bustle of the forest, there is a small area of silence. In the center of this area, a young boy of 10 sits at the foot of a tree.

A woman about 24 moved effortlessly though the woods, her dark eyes moving calmly over her surroundings. She was alone and that was the way that she liked it, or at least how she thought she liked it.

Shadows amassed around a large, old oak tree. From within the hive of darkness, two amber orbs glowed as a person stepped out. The person was a boy, in his late teens. He seemed normal, but two features masked him as unusual. His eyes that seemed to glow from within and his arms that were covered in brown scales.

A child appears, of perhaps no more than eight or nine, and definitely a child to attract attention. The shock of green hair is only just the start of it. From the wild strands, contrasting vividly against dark, golden-brown skin, to the large, mistrustful eyes of burnished gold that peer out over a dun scarf that drapes about her shoulders and hides her lower face, she's the very picture of the aloof desert nomad child--though not many children have hair quite that vivid shade of green. Or, for that matter, hair that seems to move just a little more than breezes would account for.
Her clothes, ridiculously outsized in comparison to her small frame, only serve to reinforce the image. Deep orange-red in hue, accented with militant-looking lines of black, they look as if they should be a pair of short sleeves and shorts. Instead, on her, the sleeves and legs come down to the elbows and knees, respectively. A wide black waistband with stylized patterns secures the too-large clothes about her waist, while her legs are entirely swallowed up by the pair of floppy black boots that rise up around her skinny thighs, kept from falling entirely by bands below the knees and around the arch of the foot. The ends of the scarf come trailing down to her feet from her shoulders, one end on either side of her body, knotted at the end to keep it from billowing and getting in her way quite so badly.
She lay silently under the shade of a mighty willow tree as the wind played with her hair, causing it to whip around her face obscuring it even more than her scarf did. She was in a comfortable position to take a short nap, her head nestled into the soft lush grass beneath her. Yet despite her calm posture, her golden eyes darted around for any signs of movement, or any sudden sound that would signal the arrival of a new person ... and a new threat.

The teen sighed as he took a quick look at his surroundings. "Banished again," he sighed, "I really hate it up here but at least the clothes actually fit and don't itch as much."
He was referring to the jet black shirt and trousers that he was wearing. The lack of socks and shoes was something he vowed to sort at the latest oppertunity.
"Well, might as well take a look around. I'm going to be up here a while," he said, in the cold voice that would send chills down any normal persons spine. He decided that following the wind was a good a start as any and set off into the unknown, strait towards a large willow tree.

The girl quickly sat up, she could feel someone coming closer. After all, she used to live in a desert, where you needed to be alert or else you were just asking to be eaten. Getting to her feet in a somewhat shaky manner, since she was close to dozing off a few seconds ago, she proceeded to climb into the tree to hide from whoever was approaching and to get a good look at them. If it's not someone who could hurt me I'll just ignore them, if it is I better leave this place as quickly as I can. She thought, mentally planning the steps of her escape.

The boy stopped when he reached the willow. There was a strange scent that tainted the air. 'Fear, somebody is around,' he thought, he quickly glanced around and memorized all of the escape routes that he could find. "Who is here? I won't harm you if you show yourself?" he yelled, knowing that whoever was around would hear

As if I'm going to believe that, the person who killed my parents said the same thing and he didn't mean it either. The girl thought, pleased with herself and her clever reasoning. She was just trying to slide down the back of the tree and run off into the safety of the bushes when she slipped on a particularly damp part of the tree trunk (probably due to the moss there) and landed on the ground with a loud thud. Damn it, please tell me he did not hear me.. She thought, trying to compose herself for a fight if needed, despite the fact that in truth she barely knew anything about battle.

"Well you showed yourself, but not quite in the way you intended," the boy laughed as he walked around the tree. "Hello," he smiled, "do you know where I can get myself some shoes?"

The young girl blinked, and again. He didn't want to hurt her? Well this was a first, since she was used to the bandits of the deserts rather than ... well ... the seemingly harmless people of the forest. But she wasn't going to trust him completely, not yet anyway. She began to edge away as she spoke to him. " No I don't. " She replied, her words spoken sternly and with a thick Arabic accent. If I talk long enough he can just leave me alone, I've got more important things to do. She thought, her words sounded tough, but she did look like a girl around the age of eight or nine so that cut down how intimidating they should have been.

"Damn," he replied, scratching one of his heels to remove a stone that had gotten stuck there. "Where am I anyway? I'm kinda new around here," he asked, ignoring the strange accent.

She was barefoot too, but the soles of her had become hard from walking on grainy sand all day so she was used to it. She stared at him, questioning his intelligence. Did she look like someone who belonged here? She was just as confused as to where she was! She was walking, went to sleep and woke up .... here? Calming down significantly she stopped backing away. " I don't know, I don't know where this is. I just sort of ... appeared here. " She mumbled, hating it when she wasn't well informed.

"So you were banished too, then?" He asked, looking up at the blue sky with intrest. 'I never understood how coming up here is a bad thing. I mean, the view is great.'

A pale, lithe girl in her early twenties watched the pair with wide red eyes from a high branch. Her long, straight, black-as-pitch hair flowed around her shoulder, with were covered in a black velvet cloak. The rest of her clothing was black as well - a black dress shirt, a thin, ankle-length black skirt, and black shoes. Her face, so shockingly white compared to her clothing, was the only visible part of her. She breathed in slowly, a rattling, painful breath that shook her frail-looking body. though the sun was high and the air hot, she shivered with cold. Her eyes followed te others, flicking between them. Those not in her view, she could still hear. She winced as the wind twirled the leaves from in front of her face, and the harsh sun fell on her in full. Her mind whirled with thoughts an memories, but still she listened to the conversation far below with keen ears.
