Quite honestly I don't think I can classify Shino as anything but "Shino". He's always blank, silent, doesn't appear to take any interest in either men OR women, and for the most part, there isn't much to be known about the illustrious Aburame considering how little about him is revealed to the audience in the first place.

I think the Aburames reproduce asexually. I don't even think that Shino has a mother.
Just imagine... underneath that immense coat, a partly-formed Aburame baby is just waiting to be unleashed upon the world.
It would make lots of sense.
