Some of us have played them, some have not.
So it's about time we made a thread like this:
What is the first Visual Novel you read?
What is your current favorite Visual Novel?
What is the first Ero-game you played?
What is your current favorite Ero-game?
Which game would you like to see translated? (Visual Novel/Ero-game)
What's your favorite company?
Feel free to add anything to your post if you wish.

What is the first Visual Novel you read? Narcissu
What is your current favorite Visual Novel? Narcissu
What is the first Ero-game you played? Lets Meow Meow!
What is your current favorite Ero-game? Lets Meow Meow!
Which game would you like to see translated? (Visual Novel/Ero-game) Fate/Hollow Ataraxia
What's your favorite company? Probably Navel. Though I love Type Moon's games, they're just too depressing for me to consider my favorite.
I would really like to check out Planetarian, Air, F/SN (and the spin-offs), and anything involving catgirls. I haven't played it yet, but I would really like to get my hands on a translation patch for Shuffle! (and its spin-offs)... Haven't really had a chance to play anything besides Brave Soul (Which I don't think counts...), Lets Meow Meow!, and Narcissu. I feel neglected. >_>

Why haven't I posted this yet anyway? Oh well...
-Firsst visual novel It was either Tokimeki Check In or Phantom of Inferno, I have trouble remembering which came first. Probably Phantom. -Favorite Visual Novel Shuffle! Damnit! >.< Since Really? Really! isn't out yet meaning no other game has Kaede. -First ero-game If the SNES version of Varible Geo count then that, but that's edited, so I'd have to say Tokimeki Check In! -Favorite ero game *see favorite visual novel* -Would like to see translated A freakin' LOT of stuff. I'm not even goihng to try to name off games so I'll go by vcopanies that I want the stuff translated from: Key, Navel, Lime, Alice Soft, August Soft, Caramel Box, GIGA, Neko Neko Soft, Type-Moon, Nitro+, 13cm, 130cm, Kogado (I think this counts... maybe... I heard Tristia might be ero, but I doubt it), Minori, Princess Soft, ACTRESS Xuse, KID, Tama Soft... You know... I'm gonna stop before I name off a overly freakish amount... =_= -Favorite company Navel (lime counts as part of this! >.<)
This is subject to change... >.>

If you came here for that, then you're here for the wrong reason. Not all Ero Games/Visual Novels revolve around sex. Take a game like Figures of Happiness. You can go through the ENTIRE game and not encounter one ecchi scene. These games are about art and story, the hentai is merely an added piece to make it sell. But you see plenty of games, specifically CLANNAD and Planetarian selling many copies and they has no hentai whatsoever.

-What is the first Visual Novel you read? My first ren'ai game was the PK Girl. My first free visual novel was At Summer's End, and my first (and only) paid visual novel was Hourglass of Summer. **wonders when Amusement Park will get here**
-What is your current favorite Visual Novel? Hourglass of Summer. :3
-What is the first Ero-game you played? N/A
-What is your current favorite Ero-game? N/A
-Which game would you like to see translated? (Visual Novel/Ero-game) Kanon, AIR, To Heart, Clannad, and pretty much any Key game.
-What's your favorite company? Key, definitely. :3
I'm probably one of the only fifteen year old girls in the United States who likes visual novels (though I'm making my twin sister play them, too). I knew I'd love them, and I knew it would be a small, lonely fandom, since I can't read Japanese. Despite that, I played some visual novels, and now I'm hooked. ^^;

what is the difference between a visual novel and a graphic novel? And what does dojinshi fall under? I bought a few dojinshi at a convention once...
But if you mean online novels as opposed to published ones, I haven't seen too many. Or are you referring to choose your own adventure types with pictures?
I have played a few erogames, but I don't have any at the moment.

Uh... visual novels are lie "choose your own adventuire" books that are on PC, DVD, or game systems including music, character sprites, backgrounds, special images, etc. They're nothing like manga or doujinshi, trust me... Although there are quite a few doujin visual novels, Higurashi was actually considered doujin. SO yeah... we' be reffering to that last one you mentioned... Alkthough there are some visual novels that are compeletely linear, as well as some with different systems. In Zero no Tsukaima there's a "likeability" and "dislikeability" meter. The more time you spend with girls other that Louise... the more your dilikeability meter goes up.. and as you can imagine, if it maxes out, well.... things don't bode so well for Saito.
