Fire: Fire dragons are the most common of dragons. As you've probably guessed already, they spit fire, and are probably the most adept at battle because they are both agile and possess powerful musculature. They're very much big talking lizards- although they can speak, they're a little more shallow than other dragons, but have a very good survival instinct. They are usually very sociable- and even second to water dragons in the quality of their companionship if raised well. But in abscence of influence from another sociable creature, they can turn out to be unintelligent, vicious and completely uncontrollable, in which case they are very dangerous to hang around with xD; Their colors vary from earth tones to reds, yellows or even beige, and they also come in a wide variety of dark colors. Their markings are often quite flashy and colorful as well. They like to eat big game like horses and large bovines, but can settle for goat, pig and sheep. Wild fire dragons can sometimes be man-eaters.

Earth: Earth dragons are the biggest of the four main races. Their colors are always earth tones (obviously xD) and their hides extremely thick and hard to damage. Their scales resemble armored plates and they have several fringes that protrude from behind their head in the place of horns. Their tail is short and covered in armor, which makes for very hard-hitting tail attacks. They are generally the most pacifist of dragons and prefer not to fight, which suits them because they lack agility. Nevertheless, they have incredible defense and strength. Earth dragons are rumored to have the best sense of humor out of all the dragons, and boast their wisdom and knowledge of the earth as their primary traits. Although a little rare and hard to find, they can be excellent, caring companions. Being too big and slow to hunt, they eat only bugs, scavenged eggs and the leaves of certain trees; they can survive on this despite their large size due to their slow metabolism. They are currently the only known omnivorous dragons.

Wind: Wind dragons, with their kitelike wings and beautiful colors, are unmatched in the gracefulness of their flight. They can create blasts of air with their powerful lungs, and their language sounds like an odd combination of various bird cries and twitters. They might be the most beautiful, but also the most vulnerable of dragons. Because of this, in their fledgling years, they have an interesting natural defense- spiky, sharp scales grow outwards from their neck to prevent predators from biting them there. They also have rounder beaks, because their parents feed them, but their pointy scales smoothen down with age and their beaks and claws grow sharper for and hunting prey such as rabbits, small birds and mountain goats. Wind dragons are small and fragile when young, but their build strengthens with age into that of something like a sleeker-looking raptor. Wind dragons are difficult to befriend and they prefer to stay clear of humans, but they can be good friends, although they're very stubborn, and not as loyal as the other dragons.

Water: Water dragons are by far the cutest of all dragons. <3 They're docile and sociable as well, and easiest to tame. Being amphibians of a sort, they can breathe both underwater and on land. They also have the ability to spray water from their throats in short but powerful bursts. They're equipped with small finned wings who cannot fly, but are very useful underwater. While swimming, they can be folded for greater speed. Water dragons have powerful tails with a large fin at the end for swimming, and small arms and legs with webbed fingers. While young, they're stout and chubby, by by the time they've reached adulthood, they're serpentine and sleek with beautiful aquatic colors. They mainly eat shrimp and other crustaceans of the sea.

-CROSSBREEDS, SUBSPECIES AND OTHER DRAGON TYPES-

Crossbreeds are all pretty cool-like, because they have the abilities and advantages of both of the main species they were born from. 3nodding
Subspecies and other dragon types is a field that never ceases to grow. For customs, for example, you can make up your own subspecies AS LONG AS IT IS A REPTILE, IN OTHER WORDS COLD-BLOODED. There's an infinity of kinds of dragons out there.
