M'kay, these should be obvious to all you roleplayers out there.

1. No Powerplaying.

"Jes suddenly lunged at Kiro and crushed his skull with the power of her hammerblow."

Wrong! While I can lunge at Kiro (a yet to be created character), I can't crush his skull before I give him a chance to relatiate or dodge! wink

2. No Godmodding.

"Kiro dodged the bullets easily, laughing at the puny human's attempts at killing him. Fools."

Once again, No! It is physically impossible for Kiro to dodge all those bullets unharmed. I'd be surprised if he came out with only three or so bullet wounds and one of those metal chunks lodged in his side. Please don't make your characters invulnerable! It defies sense! surprised

3. Please speak in brackets, parentheses, or whatever you use when you have an OOC comment to make while other people are roleplaying. It's awfully easy to mix up OOC and IC talk if you don't. sweatdrop

4. At least a paragraph per post please! That's 5 setences minimum. We don't like one liners. >(

More will be added as we think of them. That there's the basics so far. 3nodding

Q: Can I have one pwease?
A: Read the rules place and the sales post.

Q: What's Wolf's Rain?
A: Look it up on the net or have someone else tell you. Ary and Jes are too busy to explain.

Q: Why Pre-Wolf's Rain and not after?
A: Wolf's Rain had a final, if fuzzy, ending. We don't want to mess that up.

Q: Are NPCs aloud besides the ones Ary and Jes make?
A: Yes...but don't go overboard please. You may do NPCs for plot developement and pasts for your character. If you do NOT have a Research Subject you may NOT play an NPC though.

Q: Do you do cosplays?
A: Ur...that's a rather hard question. Ary and Jes really want to say NO, but we aren't completely sure yet. The only way I can think a cosplay could work is if you tweaked it DRASTICLY to fit this plot. For example, you couldn't have an inuyasha cosplay, but you might be able to have a Kagome cosplay because if he tweaked her enough she might fit in as normal human...without school and such. ^^; But we really think it'll be a huge NO.

Q: What bout Toboe, Hige, etc.?
A: Nope. Can't do those. This takes place 200 years before the anime so...they don't exist yet.

Q: Is there a mailing list?
A: Just request to be friends with "Wolfs_Dawn" and you'll be on it. =3

Many have heard rumors of wolves and a small book that foretold of the end of the world. Fewer have heard of their endless search for paradise and their guiding flower maiden. Fewer still know that the end of our coming ice age was brought about by these wolves and their precious maiden. Historians and Scientists have been studding the story thoroughly ever since our climate became stable again. Many of us still wonder what happened long before them.

It was said in the time before the world's "end" that wolves had died out. Many of us are still wondering why. What happened to the human race before and during this sudden cold? What did we do to make the land so void of life other then ourselves? We are here to find the answers. We are here to follow the paths of those from long ago, whether they be wolves or humans.

Our research uncovered much we never knew. Humans had fallen into decline from using all natural resources. The weather shifted due to their pollution and strong governments fell and science and logic almost faded away. Religion and magic replaced these things in the hearts of humans again, at least in the hearts of the new rules of the human race, the nobles. They were driven on by superstition and their need to spiritual rituals.

Poverty slowly became more common and criminal activity flourished in the chaos of this decline. Cities crumbled into disrepair and were still lived in, while other were abandoned due to lack of population. Everything seemed to be going down hill for the world, and in a way, it was.

Nobles found ways to blame others for their misfortune. Sometimes they turned on one another, staging pointless wars that only pulled them farther down into the hole they were in. However, they also chose to plain those who had nothing to do with it; the other animals of the world. Tigers were hunted, bears slaughtered, foxes skinned.

The animals made efforts to fight back, but none of them were united and they all fell to the guns of man. Those of their species that survived ran and hid far out of humans reach, leaving in fear for the rest of their lives. One race, however, chose to stand and fight until the bitter end.

Wolves, an species whose life was based on team work from the start, stood against the human threat. Packs joined together for a common cause; the survival of their race. And there started the secret war between these wolves and the nobles. Average humans knew nothing of it, but all those in the wilds heard whispers and came to join the fight and to see the outcome. We follow this story from about 200 years before the end of the ice age. We follow those who saw this world with their own eyes.

Though the war is between animals and humans, there are not only two sides. Many originations are spread out in both races, a few even containing members from both sides! Many of these groups have specific ideals and purposes and most can be joined upon being a child, even if there is little to do at that age.

Imbellis Custoses - The title of the group means "peace keepers". These are the humans and wolves that strive for peace between both races. Although not all humans in this group realize there are wolves among their ranks, this is where the few humans who understand wolf illusions reside. Often they have members of their group take part in other factions to receive information.

Resistance Association of Wolves ( RAW ) - This is the main wolf resistance faction fighting full out against the humans. They are not limited simply to military strength, but also used politics and spying to their advantage. Many of the wolves here only wish to get rid of the humans completely, being tired of them screwing up the earth.

Human Military - The military isn't one large group. It's split in pieces, for each noble has their own army and military force. Though on the surface it appears that all nobles are fighting the wolf threat, that doesn't mean they are united as one. Conflicts between nobles do arise and those in this group may find themselves killing fellow humans at times.

More may come later.

Humans drove the world to its knees with their selfishness. They tore away the world's forests, poisoned its lakes, and killed its inhabitants. They waged wars with each other, throwing away life without thought or regret. Though not every person is personally guilty of these things, the race as a whole is a dirty one.

Most people after the crumbling of the human race are poor and living with little knowledge. Where school and technology used to be so important food and survival now take their place. Their government is corrupt and unstable, but few really care. What little technology remains are simply things such as cars and one of the worst creations of their race; guns.

Jobs in this time are rather limited. You usually work for the military, run a shop of some kind, or take part in illegal operations. Many of the younger adults or children with no family join gangs and black-markets just to stay alive. Marriage is rare, for there are few running churches left. Homes are usually run down and filled with broken windows and doors, for few remain who will be able to fix or can afford to fix them.

Births and Children:

Humans are a very flakey race compared to humans. They'll switch partners very often for the worst reasons. Most cupples don't get married either, even when they are ready to start a family. Sometimes without this formal bonding, one of the pair will wander off leaving one parent, or none, to care for the children.

Most birthing takes place when humans are adults. However, sometimes teens give birth to children as well. When teens try to have children their chances are 2/10. When adults try to have children, they have a 5/10 chance instead.

When the humans began to decline, their governments fell apart. Wars tore down these systems, as did corruption and disloyalty. Chaos took hold of the humans without anyone to lead them. Slowly, a superstitious group of people rose up to take control. These were the nobles, the new leaders of the humans in their darkest hours.

Nobles believed in magic and science, more commonly referred to as alchemy. They used these things to try and bring hope to their subjects, while taking their money and valuables. Soon very few had anything precious except for these nobles. They dawned masks and odd clothing as part of their beliefs and clearly set themselves apart from the other people of the world.

They ruled very poorly, leaving cities in the ruins they were and caring only for their personal status. They fought wars among themselves and blamed others for their peoples' misery. It took them little time to lay blame on the animals of the world and start to order their deaths. Those loyal to the nobles often got rewards, but they also were forced to become as black hearted as their leader.

Births and Children:

Nobles do marry on occasions, but often they won't and will simply have children. Most of the time it matters little if the other parent is a noble or simply a loyal servant. Children of nobles are not raised by their parents at all, but by servants instead.

Though parents rarely care so much able whether the child they give birth to is of pure blood, rivalries sometimes develop between children over this fact. Noble children with purer blood often think of themselves as better and tease and pick upon the ones with more mixed blood. However, since there are only so many nobles in the world, very few have completely pure blood.

Children are forced to take part in formal events and learn the beliefs of their parent or parents. They dawn the strange clothing of their kind, but do not wear masks until the reach adulthood. Once they reach this stage, they either are kicked out by their parents or they take over the responsibilities at their family keep.

Since humans are usually ignorant about the war between humans and wolves, there aren't a whole lot of choices for them. Most simply work to stay alive and have the best life they can. These people have simple jobs such as owning shops.

Those in the military or serving a noble will be fighting against the wolves or other nobles. Soldiers get paid fairly well, but are out in the field so often they don't get a lot of time to do anything with their earnings. Humans may only join the military upon becoming a teen. Children have no place within the military, for either an adult or teen preforms even small jobs.

The few who learn about the war and aren't directly involved in it can join the Imbellis Custoses. Humans here work in politics and fight very rarely. Sometimes they will pick up their guns to balance out a fight or stop one, but otherwise they try to find peaceful solutions to problems. Some humans working here might be asked to join the military undercover or work at a noble's keep to gain information.

Humans, running into more and more problems, decided to blame animals. Though they had no real reason too, they hunted and tried to wipe out all the manner of different predators. Many of the animals tried to fight them off, but failed. The wolves were next and they decided to take a stand.

Unlike the other animals, wolves work together by nature. Packs came together to fight the common threat. Not only were the wolves strong and fast, but they were smart as well. For the first time animals seemed to stand a chance against the humans, even with their guns.

However, what set them truly apart was the ability they discovered. Two wolves, who were fighting in the water, ended up stuck in a human city. In desperation, they found that they could make humans believe they were something else. They could get inside a humans mind and make them think that they, wolves, looked, felt, and even talked as humans. Escaping the city, they brought news to the other wolves and began to teach the ability to others. Though most wolves still live in the wilds, those who disliked the war went to the human cities or towns to live in peace.

Breeding and Mating:

Wolves never have children unless they are life-mated, which only takes place in adulthood. However, many wolves in their youth find another wolf that they have special feelings for. Similar to human dating, wolves may "mate" in their adolescence. This is almost like claiming another wolf for a life-mate in the future.

All wolf cubs are brought to small peaceful towns or dens for raising. Most of the time their parents will come with them and live with them until they are an adolescent. However, many pups are orphaned due to the war and must live with elders in these villages. Here they are taught how to put up illusions and other useful skills.

Wolves are far from being the last of the predators. Though many were killed, few have been pushed to extinction. Bears, birds, cats, and others still live within the world. Many live in the dark places of the world away from humans. Others live among the humans, using the wolf's trick to stay hidden.

One of the largest living groups left are the cats. House cats flourish still, as do strays. Humans take a liking to the small ones, and feel no threat from them. The larger cats, such as tigers, bobcats, and lynx are harder to find. These are usually the ones that join up and fight with the wolves. House cats rarely take on an illusion, while larger cats are known to do so.

Birds are another rather large group. Some humans favor birds, even the birds of prey. Those who can't find safety as human pet can live on their own in the wilds rather well. These animals rarely take on a human form, but sometimes they do for their own personal reasons.

Bears and other predators are the rarest. Bears have no connection with humans and easily join sides with the wolves. However, some have even been foolish enough to attack humans alone. These almost never take on an illusion out of pride and their hate for humans.

Breeding and Mating:

All these different animals have different ways of mating. Any form of mating, however, is rare because of their small numbers. House cats rarely breed unless they have an owner how lets them or they live on the streets. Larger cats sometimes have problems with breeding, for the males are constantly fighting over the remaining females. Birds breed rather easily, but the meeting of one of the same species doesn't happen often. Bears and other predators are dying out so fast that finding a mate doesn't usually take place.

All wolves are aware of the war and it would be dangerous if they weren't. There are many different ways the wolves have worked to keep their race alive and help their fellows.

Some wolves choose to stay behind and raise the youth of the packs. They teach the pus in remote towns and deep within forests on how to hold their illusions. They also teach them about the current war and the history of their race. These wolves are considered neutral for the most part.

Most wolves, however, join RAW. Pups are allowed to join when they wish, but most don't until they are sure they have learned enough from their teachers. Pups do little for RAW at this point, but often they hunt for the pack and clean wounds after battles. Once an adolescent, they are aloud to do scouting missions and, depending on skill, join in the fighting. Only adults are aloud to go undercover in cities, however, for it is dangerous and they have to have mastered their illusion.

Once and a while you'll find a wolf who doesn't like the fighting at all. These wolves join Imbellis Custoses. They may join as pups, but many don't realize their hate for the war until they are adults. Wolves in this group keep up their illusions almost 24/7. However, many of the human members know about them, so if their illusion falls trouble doesn't usually take place.
