country is prolly the only music genre I just can't stand. The closest I've ever gotten is Kelly Clarkson

I've been lsitening to country music for 20 years, and I can't think of many songs that fit the mould you're talking about. In fact, I can't even think of one off hand that is exactly what you're talking about.

I don't mean that in a rude way to you, it just seems like a huge statement with nothing to back it up. Not liking the genre is one thing, but I just feel you're mistaken in what the songs are actually about.

Here, since this post was about favourite country songs, I'll list my favourite along with links to the lyrics. You'll be able to see that none of them are about trucks breaking down or someone's wife leaving... not in the slightest.

To answer the question of the original post, I have many favourite country songs. There are too many different songs out there for different moods and reasons to just have one. My favourites include:

Lights of my Hometown by Aaron Lines

Dust on the Bottle by David Lee Murphy

Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis

There are too many to choose from. I like "Babygirl" by Sugarland. It related to me. "Another is Jesus, Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. I think the first song that I really liked in country was " Two Teardrops" by Steve Wariner. Some others that I really like are:

"One Day left to live" Sammy Kershaw
"Traveling Soldier" by Dixie Chicks (Made me sad, I like this version better than the one by the original writer)
"Concrete Angel" Martina McBride (Also made me sad)
"8th Wonder of the World" Kimberly Locke
"Loco" by David Lee Murphy (Is funny)

I come from a town that basically plays only country, so I've got a bit of a liking to it. I hope I didn't get any of the names wrong.
