Okay people, I know you're not dead. And I'm sure that everyone and their grandma already knows about this whole Family Values Tour thing.
So... who's going? And to which concert? There's a whole buttload of shows that they're doing this summer which makes me think that they're going to die from exhaustion, but I'm sure that they can handle it.
Alrighty then, I'll be going to the show at the Hyundai Pavilion in San Bernadino on August 19. It's supposed to be the largest amphitheater in North America with 65,000 seats. There are only 10,902 reserved seats, while the remaining 54,098 seats are on the lawn. eek
Come on people, post! I am not letting this guild die like all the other ones that I've been in.

Ah man, that totally blows that you can't go. So close yet so far away. emo
I'm going to be so~o annoyed if there's moshing or crowd surfing anywhere near me. I'll be sure to quick those people right in the face just for you. Finally, learning high kicks in dance class will pay off. xp

I am going to the Detroit show, and if anyone lives in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan and wants to go with me and my friend to split the costs...We won't rape/kill you, I just want to make things cheaper.

I don't know about the Sacramento show, but the San Bernadino show still has seats in the orchestra (pit).
Which actually makes me kind of mad. Because when my dad bought our tickets, all the orchestra seats were taken and we had to buy from the Loge section. evil Those were supposedly the "best available" seats. Grr...

I wish. My dad's pretty set on where we are sitting. And since he's the one who's driving me there and back, I should probably just go along with what he wants to do.
Besides, even though we're in the Loge section (which shouldn't be too far from the stage), we're only in the second row back or something like that.

Honestly, I like the smaller venues (punk show ethic preference showing through here). Where you are close to the band and it's a CRAZY crowd...Moshing, skanking, wall of death, pogoing...I'd HATE to be sitting down in a show. Like, screw that! I like being close to the band (I always fight tooth and nail to get to the front infront of the stage before being pulled back into the moshpit).
Fxxx big arena shows.

Well, well, well. Today Dir en grey has their first concert for the Family Values Tour over in San Antonio, Texas.
And in other random news, Kaoru told the Japanese fans that "Ryoujoku no Ame" was not the song that they played during their concerts in America and Europe. Which means that a new single will probably be coming out soon.

I'm getting both nervous and excited as I'm reading the BBS on Dir en grey's OHP. I saw this coming from about 10 miles away, but apparently lots of people at the concerts (who are non-Diru fans) are booing/not caring for them. So that's the main reason why I didn't want to attend the FVT because I knew this sort of thing would happen. But this is drowned out by my pure excitement. Someone said that they were selling albums that were signed. Which I will force my dad to buy for me just so I can have a signed copy. Who cares that I already have two copies (US & Japan) of Withering to death.? And...*drumroll* meet-and-greet! exclaim *squee* My Japanese is the ultimate in suckage, but I'm going to practice it so I can say something to the members that do it. (Some people met Die and Shinya, others met Kaoru and Shinya.) I don't know when they do this (how soon after their set), but I'm sure I'll figure it out before I go. edit: 15 minutes laterBatsu.org Code of the Vulgarism, the Macabre cd, and Withering to death where what everyone had to buy to get the wristband for the meet-and-greet. Batsu.org That is according to two different people, as well as FYE. You just gotta buy a copy of Wtd at the FYE booth and they'll give you a wristband. Not sure which one to believe. Other people are saying that they bought "Ryojouku no Ame" and were still given a wristband. Oh well, just make sure that you don't miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime. And as a bonus, some "illegal" *cough**cough* pictures (taken by other people) for you. linkage
