Ahhh I believe that this was my very first VS thread, It Featured the two most Notorious Giant Robot Anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and Big O


It was actually killed off about a YEAR before The big VS thread Banning, from a Mod who didn't know which god damn way was up but whom's Name I won't be mentioning.

Anyway I believe it was a Tag-Team of Units 00 through 02 Versus Big O, Big Duo and Big Fou.

Well, the EVAs have the edge in maneuverability and speed, but The Bigs deffinitely have a monopoly on armor and firepower.

Unless you count the AT fields...

Anywho, important: Are we talkin' Inferno Duo with Alan "I'll show you my blood if you show me yours" Gabriel, or Classic Duo with Michael "Imagination and memory are but one thing, which for diverse considerations have diverse names" Seabach? God, those were two AWESOME characters; why don't they have an anime fan boy/girl army like other crappier characters that shant be mentioned?

ALSO IMPORTANT: I really wish people would elaborate more. Please gimme the terrain details and engagement conditions (i.e. is one team ambushing the other, do the EVAs have Misato and NERV to back 'em up and deliver stuff/use those city weapons. Does Roger and company have their support system in the city?) and what level of advancement are the EVAs? Has -01 gotten it's S2 engine yet, and what state is Shinji in? His mood swings really mess up battles...does he care about fighting or protecting something or...what? This stuff can really help make or break a fight!

On to the fight (with the bit of info I have to go off of):

-Assumptions-

Terrain: I'll guess a nice open field, were neither team can get their support stuff. Good'n fair.

Shinji/-01: These were HUGE variables in the fight, but I'm gonna assume it's non-S2 engine Eva, and Shinji's (relatively) normal and sane.

Duo: Non-inferno with everyone's favorite anti-society mummy.


Shinji never struck me as a great pilot...he was just really emo and good at getting his butt Deus Ex Machina'd out of the fire. Rei was...hm...I don't remeber much about Rei. She seemed like a really orthodox soldier, from the scraps of memory I have...

Asuka was just a joke. She was the proverbial teacher's pet, always trying to impress someone and get a kind word. She flips out over nothing and just...just...I'm not gonna go on.

Smith was on the most supprisingly resourceful pilots I've ever seen in any mech show, short of Bernie Wiseman (MASSIVE points if you get the refference without google or wiki), as well as being very level-headed and cool under pressure. Schwarzewald was flippin' insane, but he was gooooood. He knew how to fight, and maybe wasn't the master tactician that Roger was, but could deffinitely take on oppenent on one-on-one. Rosewater just kinda had Fau walk around and one-hit things with those snake-cannons xp

The main problems/variables I see is if Roger finds out it's a bunch of kids piloting those robots. He's not the kind of guy that would kill kids (the other two Big pilots I can't speak for) and would probably try and find some sort of plan to either A.) Talk 'em out of fighting or B.) remove their entry plugs, disabling the EVAs and keeping the kids alive.


Okay, I'm actually giving this fight to the Bigs, simply because the EVA kids seem to be slow learners with bad luck ("Hey, this angel has an AT field as well, all our weapons are useless. Who'da thunk it after the last 7 angles had AT fields too?" "What's this? An angel without an AT field! Oh...but we can't launch from base due to a power outage (no back up power?) so we gotta go through all this junk just to get to the darned defenseless thing".) and Roger is an incredibly fast learner.

Rei would fall back and open fire with here FAMAS knock-off or whatever. The Big O seems to be able to take a lot of punishment, and I doubt those rounds could hurt it. If they can, The Big O always has those arm shields, which have many more layers of armor. Roger'd fire back with Eye beams, which'd hit the AT field. Rei stops to reload (this is tag-team, which means one at a time fights, right?). By this time, Roger has noticed the massive power cables comming our of all his opponents. Where as some anime characters would put two and two together and get seven, Roger comes up with four, which is exactly the number of missiles he needs to launch to rip that sucker in two. Now, he's a tad shocked when the EVA doesn't immediately shut down, but he goes on the defensive (Rei isn't a berserker, but I imagine her attacks may become a bit more frantic after she realizes the rifle has no effect and her time limit is running low...). Big O takes a few prog knife slashes, but lasts until -00 powers down. Roger reaches back like a pimp and slaps/Sudden Impacts dat **! BLAM!

Same general deal if Shinji or Asuka go first, but Shinji'd probably wait for a bit sizing his target up, or going allll emo and forgetting that he's in a life or death situation. Asuka would start right off the bat and attack much fiercer, and it'd be tougher for Roger to find the oppening he needs, but I have no doubt he'd find it (or rangle 'er down with his anchors if she won't stop movin'!) Schwarzvald? Fly about and launch missiles. He's smart, and would probably notice the giant obviours cables as well. One eye beam later...

And the best part? He doesn't even need to be defensive and take the hits; he can just fly around and wait for his targets to power-down.

Fau? Seems to be even more armored than Big O. I'd imagine Rosewater would block (if he needed too) then snake-cannon the cables...or just blast the shield with those nuclear chest cannons and snake canons. I'd imagine the fields would colapse after a while...

FATALITY! Essentially, the Evas all go power-down, since they're up against opponents with real higher brain function and observational skills (scary, I know), so it's just a matter of how to demolish the powerless bio-mechs. The O would either Crelm Buster or Sudden Impact. God forbid Roger uses the gattlin' gun attack...that thing was s...cut-sceney. It felt like a power ranger special attack.

duo would launch boob-missiles or come down and diver 'em up with his rotary fingers. Or, if we're lucky, NUKE 'EM!

Fau...uh, snake cannon? Fau really doesn't have many weapons...
