Twin Hill Meadow Overlooking the wide grassy meadow are two hills that are as green as the leaves and grass that grows in the lowlands. A wonderful place for any being to be at any given time.
NPC to be found:

Griad, a resident of Twin Hill Meadows though you can usually find him patrolling anywhere. Being a griffin Griad has taken on the job of guaring the land and its resident to a personal level and will not hesistate to take down unwanted intruders!

Having heard that something was up, Illusion trotted along to the meadow to investigate...

Moan, moan moan, Luna thought, eyeing her companion with displeasure. All he'd done the whole way home was fuss, and he was supposed to be a strong, evil, Vampire-type Clip-Clop. She continued ignoring him; it seemed the best way to deal with things.
Maloventh was not happy to say the least. First, the experiment had failed, second, he had been beaten by those pathetic bright things, and thirdly he seemed to be have been adopted - against his will, even - by this annoying Luna child. Besides, he was still sore from the battle, and walking on over his injuries was making him more irritable than usual. "I vill not take it!" He snapped, finally. "I refuse to valk anuzzer step!"

((Argh!!! I was in the middle of a long RP post and then IE crashed on me... all windows suddenly closed!!! Without warning!! Cry))
Illusion wasn't entirely sure what to do with her adoptee, whose name turned out to be Phantasm. So, in the end, she decided a bath might as well be in order. Maybe that would help with the smell. So she shepherded the zombie ahead of her. Unfortunately, Phantasm was very slow, as zombies were wont to be. Shuffle shuffle shuffle. It took them ages to get even the smallest distance, and the closest body of water was still a fair bit away.
Illusion was just starting to wonder if it might not be quicker to bring the water here (except then there would be no one to guard the zombie clip-clop) when she heard voices:
"I vill not take it! I refuse to valk anuzzer step!"
Looking into the distance, Illusion saw another clip-clop... another two clip-clops who appeared to have come from the forest, but one of them appeared to be in the middle of throwing a tantrum. Leaving Phantasm (since at the rate the zombie moved, she wouldn't be able to go anywhere, fast... nor escape...), Illusion trotted over to them, a snowy white form with rippling bright rainbow hair.
"Any news?" she asked.
She recognised the one clip-clop from earlier on at the first gathering, although she did not know the other's name.

((Eeek, evil IE!! ;__ wink )
Luna jumped as she heard the voice, she hadn't heard the other ClipClop coming nearing. She recognised her as the one who had adopted the other misfit Clip Clop, perhaps she'd be able to help? Luna clung to that thought, Maloventh was beginning to grate on her nerves.
"Erm," Luna started, screwing up her nose to remember what had happened. "Yes. Well, after you left, we got attacked again by him-" She pointed to Maloventh, who was looking sulky. "-his name's Maloventh, by the way. Oh- and I'm Luna." Realising that this rainbow Clip Clop probably didn't know her name. "Anyway, we eventually managed to defeat him, and I was elected to bring him back and look after him. But they've found...something. In the woods. Some sort of machine. I think they're all investigating it now, and they've got a lot of help, so we don't need to go back, I don't think." Well, she hoped, anyway. Wished fervently. She was /not/ dragging Maloventh all the way back there again!

((Yes verily evil, it is, I say!!))
Illusion's ears twitched as she listened to Luna's report. "I'm Illusion. Nice to meet you, Luna, Maloventh." (After all, it didn't hurt to be polite to the vampire clip-clop as well.. considering she hadn't had to fight him!)
"Some kind of machine? I daresay Rudras should be able to give us the report afterwards..." /If/ the temperamental airborne could be coaxed into telling the story.... Rudras often required coaxing, or bribery, being a clip-clop of a rather solitary nature.
"So," she said, now turning to Maloventh, "You would know Phantasm, then? I hope this doesn't sound rude, but do you happen to... hrm... know if she can move faster than she is... well... moving now?" She indicated the zombie clip-clop who was presently still shuffling down the slope at a snail's pace. It seemed that Luna wasn't the only one having trouble with her new adoptee.

"And you," Luna said gratefully, thankful that the Clip Clop seemed to be taking an interest in Maloventh. Maybe she could - for want of a better word - dump him with Illusion for a few hours while she, Luna, took what she considered a well-deserved nap. All that fighting was tiring, and she didn't even have that pretty feather anymore. She eyed the firey wisps still attached to her leg sadly, that feather had been truely beautiful. "I hope we do find out," She added. "I'm curious as to what it actually does, and whether it can be stopped or not."
Maloventh eyed Phantasm distatefully, then turned a distrustful gaze on Illusion. "Yiss, I know her," He admitted relucntantly. "She vas zee failed experiment, ze master vas most displeaaased vith her. I do not know if she can valk any faster. But I imagine if you does zis-" He jabbed the zombie sharply in the side, an evil glint in his eye. "Then she vill valk faster!"

Phantasm snorted in indignation at being jabbed thusly in the side. And she moved faster. Faster, in the way that a snail picks up pace. Maybe a millimetre per minute faster.
"How................................................................................................................................... dare......................................................................................... you............................................. do.......................................................................................... that!" she said indignantly (by which time, a likely snail might well have fallen asleep during the interval between each word).
Illusion only just refrained from rolling her eyes. Why did she have to be landed with this slow-coach? At least someone like Maloventh would have.... moved faster.
"I don't think it worked very well," Illusion told Maloventh rather sadly. "Luna, where are you going? Do you happen to know of a... close... water source? I was thinking of getting Phantasm to have a bath."
After all.... the zombie smell!
Illusion also wondered if she might not be able to stick Phantasm with the two of them, since Maloventh at least knew the zombie.

"You vere ze failure! Of course I dare do zat! I am far superior to you" Maloventh hissed at Phantasm. "Move fassster! You iz slowing uss down!" And he made to jab her again: but Luna stepped between the two.
"You don't have to be so rude to her," Luna told Maloventh severly. "Perhaps if you asked her nicely she'd try a bit harder." As Maloventh muttered and sulked, Luna turned back to Illusion with a faintly tired smile. "That does seem like a good idea, but I'm afraid I don't know of any closer..." The lunar ClipClop trailed off, pondering. Maloventh took the opportunity while she was distracted to shoot Phantasm an evil look, before folding his wings back and becoming still again.
"Unless you can conjure water using your magic, then I'm afraid I don't know." Luna suggested finally. "I'm not even sure where the nearest source of water is, I don't normally frequent this area."

Illusion sighed. "I guess it's going to have to be Mirror Lake then." It looked like it was going to be a very long journey. She glanced at the two adoptees.
".................. Already........... moving............... fast............... as I can....................................." the zombie moaned to Maloventh.
Illusion frowned in thought at Luna. "Do you... do you think we could carry her? Or drag her along? /Wheels?/" A clip-clop with rollerskates? Not that clip-clops had them, but that was what it would have looked like.
((Shadow.... thought you could have a break from artses? So as not to overload you? Though if you really wanted I can write up more details!)) ^^

"Ah yes, Mirror Lake," Luna tried to look knowledgeable, as if she knew where that was. Her geography was even worse than her sense of time, which was almost impossible. She was, however, faintly alarmed at the suggestions that Illusion was coming up with. "W...wheels?" She asked, hoping that she'd misheard. "Er. I think that dragging her would be a better option. Unless you could carry her," This was directed at Maloventh who was still glaring hatefully at the Zombie.
Maloventh looked affronted. "Of courrssse I could. But vy vould I? I dislike zis stupid creature. I do not vant to carry her."
"It would save us a lot of time," argued Luna, who was desperate to get /some/ semblance of rest in the next hour or two, and could not conceivably see another way of getting out of helping Illusion /and/ dumping Maloventh at the same time. "And it would make me happy," She added as an afterthought, in case the Vampire cared or something.
"Very vell," Maloventh grumbled, eying the zombie. "I help zis time. But ze next-!" He flicked his tail and bared his fangs threateningly. "I vill not!"
"Sure, sure," Luna said, grateful he was even considering helping. "Any ideas on how...exactly...to carry her?"
[Sure sure! ^__^ A break sounds good to me. xD]

((*grins* I thought so! wink ))
What was wrong with wheels? Illusion thought they were a very good idea... something to mull over on long, cold nights... but since no one else seemed particularly impressed by the idea, she decided to let it lie... for the moment. Maybe come next Winter, you'd see a rainbow and zombie clip-clop ice-skating over a frozen lake.
Illusion approached Phantasm. "We're going to carry you," she informed the zombie. And then she asked the others to wait right there.... several minutes later, she was dragging several branches along behind her, and she promptly arranged them onto a litter for Phantasm to step upon.
The zombie did so.
Slowly.
"Now we each carry one branch," she explained, indicating the three branches sticking out. "Thank you for helping us, Maloventh," she said to the more reluctant of the two clip-clops, giving as bright a smile as clip-clops could.
Phantasm.... just blinked...... very...... slowly.........

Adonia smiled as she reached the top of Twin Hill Meadow. The sun was shining bright, the grass was green, it was gonna be a good day today. She put her front hoof down on a sloping part of the hill, then her other front hoof came down, hitting the first hoof, and causing her to stumble. She rolled, head over hooves down the small hill. When she reached the bottom, she hit a small rock with a thud! Adonia got up, slowly, and saw a few others a bit away. She blushed, and hid her face, hoping none of them had seen her.

(Kyuuu, sorry Jinxeh. Been busy recently. D: Will be back more over Christmas!)
Irritated as he was by the situation, Maloventh could not help admiring Illusion's intelligence. "You haff a certain quickness of mind," He informed her reluctantly, stepping forward to grasp his branch with his teeth. He grimaced a bit at the taste; vegetation was certainly not his favourite meal. And the bark would wear down his fangs. It was not a happy Maloventh who turned to Luna and said, somewhat muffled but still with a clear edge of annoyance, "Hurry up zen."
Luna stepped forward, "Good idea," She said, somewhat warily. It did look a little makeshift, and she /was/ so tired...but if she finished this, she could hopefully leave Maloventh in Illusion's care and scurry off. Or something. She was quite fixated on that thought, so much so that she didn't see a newcomer until she heard a small 'thud' and a black shape appear on the edge of her vision. Fearing some sort of dark ghostie - there seemed to be no end of them - Luna stepped hurriedly towards the sledge, and picked up her branch.

[ Here Begins a New, Different Roleplay. ] Picking her way carefully as she walked, Rowanoak smiled sweetly as she looked around. She had just emerged from... someplace... she actually couldn't remember where she had come from. In fact, all she knew was that she was a "clip-clop"... or something like that. Anyway, Oak didn't feel up to wondering why she really couldn't remember anything and thus just decided to wander around, and maybe find someone she could talk to, or hang out with, or make a friend... or something. In fact, she was so bored, wandering around was all she could do... or something. She sighed.
