Animal Farm- A modern Fairy tale

Once upon a time, there was a Farm in the rural side of England Known as Manor Farm, the Farm was ruled over by the Cruel Farmer and his family. The Mean farmer forgot to water, feed and provide shelter for animals that he was meant to care of. On the exact day the Farmer beat one of this animals severely, the oldest of all the animals- the Pig: Old Major died. But before he died he had a dream, a wonderful dream of a world where Animals would no longer have to endure the hardships brought upon them by the human hand. Where they would be just as equal in status and rank as a Human being. A world brought to life by-----a Revolution.

Now, after the Old major, leader of the animals of Manor farm imparts his dying wisdom to his kind, a fire has been lit in the hearts of the animals. They will defeat the Farmer and his family; they will take control of the farm and protect it from anybody who tries to take it back. They will build a new way of life, a new order, one with the Hoof and the horn. It is time to revolt; it is time to conquer, are you ready for ANIMAL FARM?

Setting: A super huge farm with all sorts of animals, and a plantation like house at the end of the fields where the Farmers family lives. The Animals stay in the Grand Barn- a huge many-stalled red and white barn. It is currently night, and the old major has just announced his dream. He is dead, and you are full of the hope for revolution.

Rules:

Either Human or Animal, nothing else. You can pick from the list of Animals present or you can suggest one to me Via Pm.

No magic powers, no super abilities, just play with what you’ve got.

Be completely and utterly literate. If you do not know what that means I’ll spell it out for you,

4 Sentences per post
Proper grammar and spelling
No chat speak
I can understand writers block and the occasional mistake but not the whole of your posts should be devoted to how terribly you spell.

Be original, with humans- give them reasons to be who they are now, give them interesting quirks, make them all that they can be.

For animals, same with humans-in this Roleplay animals want to be recognized and defeat their oppressors! VIVA la Revolution!

This thread is both Dark and funny, so be prepared to create funny and insanely gruesome situations.

Pm me the profiles under the words: “The Hoof and the Horn”

Violence is allowed; killing another Role-player is only allowed if both agree on it.

Have a Rip snorting good time!

Animals:

Pigs: The Smartest of all the animals-the Pigs have been the leaders of the animals as long as its been here. Though they are full of good ideas and ways to get them done. Their dark side is their greed and mistrust.

Horses: The Strongest of the animals- the Horses are the workers of the Farm, getting stuff done is their business; they are mainly the laborers of the whole farm. They are very set in their ways and usually follow whatever animal is leading without any bit of resistance.

Dogs: The Fiercest of the creatures, the Dogs are the police and guards to the Pigs. Enforcing laws is their decree and being made to chase away unwanted humans is their job. Their flaw is simply their over abundance of loyalty to their leaders, they will do anything as long as it is commanded.

Birds: The messengers of the whole Rebellion, Flying birds like crows, sparrows and pigeons are the deliverers of news and Occasionally propaganda for the whole Animal Population, there not always keen on being under the pigs- the crows especially, but if it involves spreading stories (even lies) the birds will do it. The Raven is different however; the Raven’s are more religious than the other animals-and they usually talk about a Animal form of heaven in their stories. Chickens, ducks and geese, are the farmers of the farm animals as strange as it sounds and are a little weary of this new rebellion, if things don’t go the way they should the fowls are ready to start a rebellion of their own.

Donkeys and goats: The Wizened part of the animal kind. The Donkeys and goats on the farm are the oldest and remember the most of all the animal history there. They want to keep things the way they are because they don’t think the Pigs will do a very good job anymore than the humans would. Preferring to stick to their old habits is what the donkeys and goats do best. They see more than most animals and are very observant of what’s going on.

Wild: The underground animals, Rats, rabbits, and other so-called vermin to the farm. They are sort of accepted in the rebellion but are looked down upon by most of the animals especially the pigs. They themselves agree with the rebellion but are too embroiled in their own survival to pay too much attention to what’s going on. They believe in Survival of the fittest, and will do anything to do just that.

Foxes: The scapegoats of the whole escapade. Foxes are grudgingly accepted in the rebellion, but are often times called the traitor of the Animals due to their sneaky nature and bad morals. Truly they are often involved in Propaganda news being called the reason for most problems when in fact they just want to help with the revolution as well.

Sheep: The Masses of all animals, the bulk of the farm is sheep-and they are easily swayed by the pig’s pretty speeches and charisma, they are glad to be both army and helpers in keeping the humans at bay. They are the least educated but the largest in population of animalia.

((Note: These are simply the way most of the animals are, some are good, some are bad, feel free to give your own interpretation on how a farm animal would act-these are just suggestions.))
