Intro Old Bard Dude There is a kingdom far away, where heroes not yet known come from. This kingdom is full of danger, excitement and the chance for glory and fame. Our own King's Champion was born in this kingdom I speak of, he was originally from the Kingdom of Untold Hearts. In this place, future heroes are tested and at times tested by the gods themselves. This kingdom is the pinnacle of society, there saviors are born. After hearing the bard's story you set out for the Kingdom of Untold Hearts, looking to prove yourself as someone to reckon with, as a hero. Within a few days you come upon unknown land where the dangers come more plentiful, with rogues lurking off the road, beasts storming your camp and the weather turning against you, and then in a strike of lightning you see a castle far off to the east, and you head for it. Soon the weather turns comfortable and you meet a man dressed in red and blue armor who says but seven words "Welcome to the Kingdom of Untold Hearts."

He was beside a rather large lake, staring into the surface as the wind whistled about his body, causing his clothes to billow about his lean body.
With an agile jump he leaps into the air landing lightly on a large boulder, and from there he proceeds to jump from boulder to boulder in the lake, reveling in the challenge of finding somewhere to go, mid-air.

A figure was down at the far end of the lake. Her long bushy tail wrapped around her knees as she knelt down by the waters edge, cupped her hands and drank from the water. She didn't care if it was lake water. Very little water made her sick, since her body had such a great need for it.
She looked up, and sniffed the air. She could smell there was a half-breed near by, since she was downwind of him. Her ears perked and she held still.

He had felt the change in the air as the figure drank from the lake. He knew someone was there, and he wanted to know who. So with another agile leap, he flings himself into the nearest tree, jumping from branch to branch lightly before landing near the figure.

The girl was to her feet before ther stranger hit the ground. With a swerve, she stood to face him, her body tense and her eyes unblinking. She swished her tail back and forth uneasily. He didn't carry a sinister air to him, so she did not immidiatly attack.
"Who are you?"

"I am Richard, a blademaster, at your service." He says with a regal bow. "Now that I have answered your question, please do tell me who you are." He inquires with a charming smile, stepping closer to the girl, his hands resting lightly at his sides.

The girls long pointed wolfish ears flickered back and forth for a moment.
"I am Gate LoupGarou, a lycan." Gate bowed her head respectfully, and swished her tail again. Had she been wearing a dress, she would have curtsied instead, but it had been several years since she had worn one. She tilted her head and blinked curiously at him.
"A blademaster?"

"Yes, my skills with blades are unrivalved. I can even make music with them if you wish." He replies with his same regal air, drawing his two longswords, the bluish tint of the blades reflecting blue light off of them.
"If you'd like, I could do a demonstration" He says, amused at meeting a lycan. His father had tamed lycans and had them used as hunting dogs, so he was glad to see the spirit in a lycan and not broken tameness befitting a dog.

Gate took a step backwards, standing a little straighter. "If you must," she replied.
Gate knew that it was probably unwise for her to allow a stranger with such skill to demostrate his power around her, but she was a curious creature, and had never heard of music being made with a blade before. She looked from him to his blade, her eyes focusing intently on it, waiting.

With a flick of his wrists his blades spun around in his hands, moving so fast as to cause the air to vibrate a calm low hum, before he begins to spin his blades and his body around in different patterns, causing a slow, deep harmony to begin to play with his body's movement. His hands move speedily, most times faster than the eye can see, sweeping wind in with the flat part of his sword, filling the harmony with rythmn and beat. And with one final sweep, he brings his swords down straight to his sides, causing his body to rise in the air a few feet before landing on his feet lightly.
Upon landing, a tree behind him slowly slides in half. It's trunk cut cleanly, by the wind Richard had been wielding.
"There you are my lady."

As she watched him, her eyes became glazed over and her ears remained perked, enthralled by the lovely harmony. She blinked only once as her gaze shifted over to the tree, sliding off of its stup and landing with a crash onto the ground.
"Wonderful skill sir," she said quietly. Then she smiled. "To do that you must be more than just human." Her smile widened, knowingly.

"Oh but you know already, don't you?" He teased, "I am more than a human, but less than another. I am half high-elf an half human. I am but a halfling and shunned for it. I am Richard the Bladesinger." Once again he bows to the girl, spinning his swords once and sliding them back into their sheaths.

Gate did not return the bow, not out of disrespect, but because she thought it pointless. She clasped her hands behind her back.
"I have met a few elves," she said. "What interesting folk they are. So peculiar." Her smile faded slightly. "And I am sorry to hear that you are so mistreated for having two races course through your veins." Her gaze drifted toward the water. "Predjudece is a difficult thing to cope with."
