i'm probably going to get a ps3 when it comes out and i was thinking of getting the new gundam game for it
i've seen some gameplay videos and trailers but i haven't actually heard opinions on it
does anyone know just how good it's supposed to be?

It's meant to be the most realistic and balanced Gundam game to date. Balancing can mean one of two things
1 - It's designed to be as real as the show
2 - It's designed to be fair to all players (Zeta Gundam losing to a Zaku I? WTF?)
I'll reserve judgement til I can play it.

I'm getting the PS3 on launching day, but the game looks amazing I heard it was a struggle to get the mobile suit to move.

yeah, i saw a little video and this guy was having a hell of a time trying to get it to move
that's pretty realistic right there
now all they need is a special controlor that mimics the control of the cockpit pirate

Well now that release date has passed (at least in the US), has anyone here been lucky enough to score a PS3 and the new gundam game? I've heard some good and some bad elsewhere about people who have it. A lot of people have trouble with the controls I guess.

I heard it was disgusting in Gameplay and Graphics. ((Not saying that graphics were bad, but saying that they looked pretty and your mech could go through things partway PS1 style))

i have it ^^. its actually really addictive and the better the bots you get the faster the game gets but..., the frame rate is terrible i hate to say... and the surround graphics eg trees ground sea etc are sub par.... but the robot graphics themselves are rather good i must say ^^ iv just completed the game under the zeon side... cos their robots are sexy >< and there are a load of robots to play as ><
But the Hildolfr aiming takes the piss when you snipe cos its almost impossible... and xamel is abit useless all together.... though its ment to be so powerful.
time to complete the federation side now!

Have you seen or heard of Gundam Musou? it's totally not realistic at all but it looks amazing, think Dynasty warriors meets mobile suits. It's only out in japan right now, and it's only for the ps3

well, considering I found out how to aquire a PS3 for half price with free delivery, I decided to get the ******** mailed to me. In like, 5 days, i'll have this thing hooked up to my NOT hi-def TV, and you'll get my feedback on raw gameplay.
Couldn't give two shits about graphics, myself!

The game, not to be rude, was a pile of crap, I shelled out alot of money for it now I regret it. I should've bought the hentai I wanted instead.

Well, got it and played it.
I wouldn't say it sucks... it's a nice game. However, it is stupid and next to impossible in places, and seems to have been written by people who know NOTHING about Gundam. Like, taking on a big tray and 4 escort units, singlehandedly for no reason, with a dom that no matter what, only has 9 shots and if you go back to base to reload, it'll be in range... There's no way to actually win.
But still, its challenging and unique. Though the sniper scope mode is totally useless.
