What if someone wanted to have a Les Miz themed wedding, what would it look like?
A barricade cake?
Red and Black napkins?
A little Javert at the bottom of the punch bowl?
Let's hear those ideas!

Hmmmm.... A LM wedding?
Location: Okay, first of all the wedding must be outside in a wide alley way, walls covered with red, white and blue fabric a with tons of white roses.
Cake: Something tall, white, red and blue icing, with a couple holding a red flag and a gun or sword in the man's hand.
Food: Something french.....on silver plates/cutlery with lots of Parisian bread!
Wine: Something from the south of France, prehaps a little fruity and champagin
Tuxedo: Large black top hat, a silver cane, and a black tux with a white shirt and a red tie and vest.
Bride's Dress: Halter dress with lace on the bodice and skirt
Groom's Men: Black tuxedoes with blue vest's and ties.
Bride's Maids: Blue halter dresses
Transportation: The Bride and groom will leave the wedding in a black carriage with red velvet lining. The sign on the back should say L'Amour long de Vie (Long Live Love)

Of course the Wedding Chorale and Beggars at the Feast would have to be background music. And guests could throw gunpowder instead of rice. Wait... maybe that's not such a good idea...if it gets too close to the silver candlesticks. Oh, and there would have to be some empty chairs at empty tables.
I like that idea about the Parisian bread. The rule is that you don't just give it to the guests...they have to steal it.

You'd also have to have beggars at the fest. You could do this in a few different ways:
a) invite actual beggars
b) convince a few friends to dress up as beggars and/or act like beggars
c) make it a rule that to eat, you have to beg first

I'm sorry, the empty chairs at empty tables things is too funny. You should have a random guy crying by said seats.
Oh, and the bridge and groom should sing "Every Day/A Heart Full of Love" together! God, I love that song. And the bride's father has to sing Valjean's part, because it's just so darn appropriate (assuming the father is there).
And the priest will sing the Bishop's part, even though he's not a bishop... heh!

Ahhh...you guys are so creative...I cant think of any good ideas...
...but a tiny Javert at the bottom of the punch bowl is too funny! (I actually just got that...)
...hmmm...
...maybe have the brides-maids dress up sort of like Eponine?...I would have said like the "lovely ladies" but of course that might be too degrading...
..ah well, guess I'm just having a non-creative day...

I was just thinking about the barricade cake...that'd be pretty sweet. I'm gonna talk to a friend of mine who works at a Cookie Factory and see if she'll make one for my birthday.

Llarth07 Perhaps have a couple dressed up as Thénardiers stealing stuff in plain sight. Ooo! I'd totally volunteer to sing obnoxiously loud and steal silverware and food, I do that at weddings usually anyway mrgreen sweatdrop

If I would make a Les Mis themed wedding I would obviously choose "Wedding Choral" to be played after the ceremony.

Damn.... I should start renting myself out as wedding entertainment... I can see it now.
"You want to entertain at our wedding...? Well, what do you do?"
"Well, monsieur, I can.... Well, sit by some empty chairs at empty tables and cry.... I can be obniouxious and steal sliverware.... I can beg at the feast, obviously... Oh, and lets not forget. I look simply dashing in a newsboy hat and rags, I can glare at the bride, wishing it were me."
