Hi, everyone, this is your captain speaking.
Because the guild has slowed down so much, I've taken it upon myself to do some rearranging while the times were right. We now have an Archive subforum, for threads that have been dead for some time- eventually, I hope, it will be organized into something akin to a library for research and study.
As things progress, know that I welcome, encourage, and beg for suggestions. The guild is slowly fading away, and shortly (I hope) I will send out a PM to all members, inquiring to find out who is still here and who's still interested.
Please, please. If you have any problems, post them. If you don't want to post them, PM me. I relish input from other members!

Hmm.. good idea, maybe if you sectioned off the sub-forums into related issues. Such as Medicinal questions and assistance, Beauty and cosmetics, comfort recipes, and so on. You know.. so easier access and what not. ^_^

MaiSake Hmm.. good idea, maybe if you sectioned off the sub-forums into related issues. Such as Medicinal questions and assistance, Beauty and cosmetics, comfort recipes, and so on. You know.. so easier access and what not. ^_^ I thought about that, but often a thread meanders around from topic to topic... I figured, though, if someone wants to help me sort the threads, I can make a sort of "Table of Contents" for the archive section (and the main section!) that lets you find what you want to know about, and go to the proper thread, regardless of how much a thread wanders.

I was thinking I would probably just make a thread that's the guilds ToC, divided into Health and Beauty, Debates and Discussions, Herbs and Remedies, Illnesses and Injuries, and Other. Then, each thread can be linked under it's appropriate category. But the biggest trouble is I have to read through each thread, every post, and find out what they discuss, and then link them in the proper sub-categories.

Herbs for the home, health & beauty: incense, oils, gardening, soaps, decor, crafts.
It would be really nice if the guild was more active. I do admit I am not as active as I should be. Maybe get affiliated with somebody?

I like the idea of adding more interests like Hanbane suggested.
It seems that there are a lot of people that are interested, but not enough who want to post new topics. So let's make some newer topics and get people involved in more than just asking for advice about herbs and herbal remedies.
Personally, I would be very interested in a "herbs in religious/mystical contexts" forum.
Does that make any sense?

It does, but I'm a little wary of making too many subforums. Mostly because I find that people will adopt a certain subforum and not visit the rest of the guild.
... although, that may not be bad, as long as every subforum has it's regulars and everyone contributes to the guild as a whole.
What about "Healing and Medicine", "Spirituality", "Home and Beauty", and... um... I can't think of anymore.

I think that those three would do well, and I know I would participate in all of them. rofl Spirituality is my specialty, so I would probably spend the bulk of my time in there. But I also have some experience with aphrodesiacs and aromatherapy, so Home and Beauty would see a share of my time as well. I'm not as sure about healing, because that's what I came here to learn, mostly. I would read there more than post, methinks.

Alright. So those three subforums. The guild has enough gold for one of them right now, and I think it'd be best to wait until it has enough for all three at once. Then we can start sorting.
I think I'll temporarily crew some regulars in the guild to help move and sort threads into their proper subforums, when the time comes.

Subforums are 2k each. *checks current GP count* We now have just over 5k. ^_^ Another 1k and we'll be able to get them.
I'm thinking that the main forum is a good place for things like... debates on the FDA or questions regarding opinions- (Like Koiyuki likes to post). So threads like "The best way to heal" would be in the main forum, along with inquiries about the guild itself...
Oh, fyi: You can also make subforums (and I think the main forum) be Public, Members only, or Crew Only. Something to keep in mind.
