A broad tongue swept across pale pads as the lion cleaned the blood from his claws almost obsessively. An after-meal ritual, turning his stained pink fur back to the pristine white that it belonged. A slow, laborious process that evoked almost a sleep-like state of relaxation, fed by a full stomach and a low afternoon sun.
Triv settled not far from what remained of his small meal, surrendering the rest to birds and small animals more then happy to scavenge what was left of his lunch. Long grass bent under him, a wall of it surrounding him on all sides, the tops far above the lion’s low-slung head.
It was a good day for a nap, perhaps? Or not. His paws were almost clean, only slight tinges of off-white dotting hard to reach areas. He sighed, a slow, content sound, and stood slowly, causing the scavengers to flap momentarily into the sky before settling once again to go back to their duty's.
The lion, too full to care, didn't bother to chase them, the amusement it offered outweighed by the tired, lazy feeling in his bones.
He started forward, in an apparently random choice of directions, and started walking across the plain.
There was a pond nearby.

Habits, had to be the hardest thing to break. Indeed, there weren't many whom could bare a habit that got them self-kicked out of their pride, proudly, and not realize that maybe.. just maybe..
there was something wrong with seeing ghosts.
Not that he actually -DID-. He was just convinced he could to a higher degree then logic.
And where did that leave him right now?
Well...
at a pond. Yelling at it.
"I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE LITTLE GHOSTY! I SAW YOU JUMP IN!" the rather excentric Ela-rogue yelled boldy, tail flicking, before dropping down to his stomach, like one who was stalking after their prey.
Which is kinda what he -was- doing, if one thought about it. Stalking a .. ghost.
However, in all sanity, if it defended him any, it had been a little fish, not a ghost. Nobody would ever tell Yua'Lopoka Mila otherwise, though! Nope, not him!
He remained still for a moment, not seeing his 'ghosts' movements, before his head perked up at the sound of walking, causing him to sneak over behind a rock and peer over it at whatever may have been heading towards him.
"......." It was a lion..
or.. was it? No.. it wasn't.. it was..
Suddenly leaping up on top of the rock, he pointed at poor innocent not-ghost related in any way Triv and declared; "AH HA! THE GHOST HAS CALLED FOR BACKUP!"

'Ah, there is another lion,' Triv thought, a bit distracted and not at all worried by the appearance of another. What could it hurt, it's not like he was on pride lands.
He neared the water source, eyeing a small animal suggestively until it cleared out of his way. He was much too lazy and full to eat again, but it didn't mean he couldn't act a bit scary.
As he approached, however, his cool demeanor was entirely shattered.
"G-ghost?"
Triv stopped, a surprised expression on his face.
"What are you talking about," he asked slowly and mostly quietly, but with a bit of disbeliefe tinging his low voice.
Who was this crazy lion?

Puffing up, the adolescent sat himself down, eyeing the elder lion, before puffing up his cheeks and looking away. "I'll not be telling you the information you need to save your little friend from his watery prison..." Yua stated stubbornly, tail flicking around his paws as he sat, watching the un-ghostly movements of the other lion suspiciously.
"Why.. what would I not be talking about.. besides...." he looked towards the water, before bouncing up to his paws triumphantly, pointing at the body . "YUA'LOPOKA MILA'S CAPTIVE OF THE POND!" he decreed boldly, pausing for a moment, before looking to Triv blankly.
".... Wait... do you mean that you're -not- here to assist this ghost in escaping from me?" he inquired innocently, sitting himself back down idly and frowning a bit.
Shifting, he then raised a brow at the stranger and added; "and if not, then what are you here for?"

((Pachy post a picture of Yua?))
"I- what are you talking about? Watery prision?"
The older lion walked a bit closer to the young one, tilting his head to the side in confusion.
"Who've you captured?"
He wondered if perhaps the cub was playing a game he didn't know about. Or if maybe he... put a rock in the water or something.
"I don't think so, unless it is a good ghost, which I wouldn't abide by," he said, a bit of a smile on his maw, talking at him like he had talked to his daughter. Soothing and pleasantness.
Triv sat down where he was and tilted his head at the cub again, "I am here to get a drink of water. My name is Triv'an, may I ask your name?"

(( *tearsad* Pach is still waiting on him to be colored. :3 He's my half of a pet-trade.. but I'll post him for ye as soon as I get him. Mmkay? ))
Yua frowned a bit. Awww.. he'd misguessed this one's intentions.. just like he'd misguessed a lot of other lions' intentions. It was rather upsetting, actually.. to continually make the wrong guess about what someone was up to.
Making a slight face, he watched as Triv moved past him to the water, pouting a bit.
"Not a rock. It's a ghost. A watery ghost and it jumped in the water to get away from me!" he jumped up again, and posed. Yes... all ghosts fears Yua in his arrogance to the point he had no second sight.
He paused mid announcement however when his name was inquired from him.
".. I thought I told you earlier..
Yua. Yua'Lopoka Mila. Of the El-...... Er.... I guess I'm a rogue now.."
Hmm.

"Ah, a ghost. I see."
Triv looked into the water, attempting to see the ghost, but only a single fish caught his vision. Fine with him, the last thing he needed was ghosts or crocodiles. He wasnt' even sure he believed in ghosts.
"I'm sorry, I suppose you did. The rest of what you... announced kind of overpowered it I think."
He smilled and took a drink of water, stretching slightly as he did so.
"What brings Yua'Lopoka Mila out here then?" Triv asked after a moment, slightly playfully, "Surely not the ghost alone?"

Yua puffed up his chest. "Yes. A ghost. I've been following him for a while." he added.
Watching as the other looked into the water, he tilted his head to the side, pondering if perhaps this one was utterly blind and could not see the ghost that was OMG right there right under his line of vision. Yes, he was go earnest about the entire thing, it was odd the ghost got no response from the other.
Hmmm.
"Well.. I -am- quite overpowering.." he said, posing slightly, before laughing and sitting back down, tail curling around his paws.
"Heh.... okay.. not quite -that- overpowering, though.." he added meekly.
Looking towards the pond again, the Ela-rogue shook his head. "No no.. simply the ghost is why I'm out here.. there's nothing more that I have that could make me do so."

"Oh, well then, congrats on cornering him," Triv'an said, humoring the younger lion in a friendly manner, amused by his game.
Game, he was certain that's what this was.
Triv grinned at the smaller lion, turning to face him and seating himself carefully. Not quite so overpowering indeed.
"Oh, maybe not now, but you appear to be working on it. So, do you hunt ghosts often then?"

Moving ever so slightly to the edge of the water, Yua looked in, his tail flicking side to side in thought as he eyed the little ghost. "Mmm.. he's not cornered.... he could still get away from me, unfortunately.." he commented, his tone serious.
For Yua, following ghosts was -not- a game.. o_O He was just weird like that, thu.
"I don't really hunt ghosts.. this one is just extremely pestersome.... I talk to the ghosts... kind of a... ohh.." he shifted a bit, before looking at him
".. a Shaman, I guess would be the right term to use on it." he noted, waving a paw.

"Ah, well, that's too bad," Triv said, staring into the water and only seeing an occasional fish. Nothing vaguely ghost like. What an interesting kid.
He twitched an ear slightly, considering what a small lion like this one was doing out here.
"Oh, well then, I suppose the ghosts apreciate it. Don't your parent's worry about you though, with all those spookies around?"
That was bothering Triv a bit. This cub should not have been alone, even for a little while if he was out in the open. Perhaps he had a bit of a guilty concious, but it was true, cubs needed protection from other predators and things. Not to mention food.

The comment about his parents received a loud indignant snort from the adolescent. One that almost bordered on the angry. Almost.
"Like they care. 'Lopoka lopoka. Yua lopoka'. That became my name... it wasn't always that. It was just Yua. Yua Mila. " The ela-rogue's tail twitched a bit, before he looked at this stranger and quirked a brow, pondering if this one would really be interested in such a story.
"They told me I spoke nonsense for being able to see and speak to the ghosts.." he added, waving a paw then looking in another direction, sulking. Bah.
"So I disowned them. I have no parents." he looked at Triv, his expression one that told of his inner judging.
"So no. They don't worry about me. I don't need them to... I take care of myself..." he added...
Though sadly the boy looked as though he hadn't eaten in about two weeks.

Triv'an was having a hard time understanding, but he did understand one thing very clearly. This child had left his family, and they hadn't come to find him.
Yes, Triv had a guilty conscious, but even his could not stand up to that kind of sadness. He wondered if they were worried about him. He worried about his child and she was with her mother still. He couldn't imagine her being alone.
"That's too bad. I think perhaps they miss you more then you'd think though," Triv's face showed how concerned he was.
He took another breath and studied the cub seriously for a moment before continuing.
"So, I was going to go get something to eat because I'm hungry. Would you like to join me?"
Sure, it was a lie, but it seemed a harmless one to him. The least he could do was make sure Yua didn't starve.

Yua frowned a bit, shaking his head. No. They wouldn't worry about him.. right? No. They wouldn't. Or they wouldn't have let him leave.. they wouldn't have driven him OUT.
Yes...
He'd just show them.
The expression that accompanied the statement was lost on the child, as he was looking elsewhere, but his own expression betrayed him at the mention of food by how much it perked up.
"Oh?" he attempted to regain face by seeming to consider it hesitantly for a minute, before he looked back to Triv and quirked a brow.
".. Perhaps I could do that.. but perhaps then my qua-.."
He broke off, looking at the water.
"Oh no!" he whined, walking to the pond's edge and looking in. ".. It got away while I wasn't looking..."

Triv'an tilted his head at the lack of reaction from the cub.
Perhaps he should be a little more tactfull...
"Ah, I wouldn't worry, I think you taught it it's lesson. Afterall, it did run away from you."
The older lion stood, stretching a bit more and straining his senses towards the horizons. The watering hole was rather empty, and so was the area he had hunted in earlier, but by now they should have moved...
Yeah, just there, not far to the north.
He turned to smile at Yua and added, "Besides, you need to have the strength to catch ghosts, yeah?"
